I added 30 citations to Zotero yesterday. When I went to continue my work today, they are all missing. Strangely, they still appear in my Word Document with a greyed background (seems Zotero still recognizes them as its citations). I assume this is because the program upgraded to Zotero 9 recently. How do I restore the citations in my Document to my Zotero program?I double-checked my files, and I currently have my base directory set to a dummy folder in C: Drive (I forget why I have this), while my Data Directory is still set to my D: Drive (full of files).
Nevermind. It seems to be some sort of post-upgrade re-cataloguing problem where it listed duplicate items without my knowledge. Everything was in the Duplicate Items section.
>>1564479Cancel that; that was only semi-recent stuff. THe latest ~30 are still missing.
The power of vibe-coding. Anyways, this is scary. So many people rely on zotero.
In the end, I retyped the citations myself while opening and closing Zotero every 5 citations to ensure they were being saved. My guess as to what happened is:>update rolls out (all my Storage files were "last modified" at the 11:30 a.m. yesterday)>I continue working with Zotero open all day>Zotero never resets for the upgrade, so my citations that day were only being saved to RAMThis event has been disappointing, and I no longer fully trust Zotero. Unless there is an option to opt out of updates, I will look for an alternative once I complete my current project. >>1564504Do Zotero programmers utilize AI?
