What's the canon of normie media? What should I watch, listen to, and play to get caught up with what normies are into? I'm in Western Canada so input from other leafs is appreciated.>Why?I was kind of sheltered as a kid, became a massive hipster as a teenager, and now as an adult I'm just not very well in tune with what's popular.
It would be especially helpful if I could get caught up on the last 15-20 years.
Maybe watch How I Met Your Mother. It's kinda dated at this point, but it's sort of the quintessential zeitgeist of millennial culture and the encapsulation of all sitcom tropes
>>1564548I've seen a few episodes in the past. That might be a good place to start.
If it helps, Family Guy and The Big Bang Theory are two of the few "normie" shows from the last 20 years that I've watched extensively. I'd say I'm more familiar with animated shows than live action, and sitcoms than plot-driven series.
>>1564545watch the MCU moviesdon't watch the DC movies, nobody talks about those
>>1564562I'm not big on capeshit, but I guess I'll have to if I want to "get" what everyone else is on about.
>>1564545star wars (original trilogy is probably the most important)
