I need to collect sources for the touhou article on wikipedia. There are strict rules that say which things you can and can't cite. Basically, you can only cite professionally published sources. Hence

Avoid:
>things published by the creator (ZUN) or affiliates
>self-published sources (youtube, blogs, forums)
>any wikis

Prefer:
>books, chapters, papers; theses (masters or grad)
>news, magazines (Anime News Network, dengeki etc.)
>interviews can be OK
>japanese language is OK

The depth doesn't matter, but try finding broader sources first, then specific aspects later (publication history, gameplay, story, non-game media, reception).

I'm pretty sure these are allowed in some cases, but not as the only source and thy prefer secondary sources.
