>>1564927Ascendance of a Bookworm is an isekai, but it has good worldbuilding.I don't think it takes much inspiration from JRPGs. I say it has good worldbuilding because each societal strata has its own culture and practices which have quite a bit of depth. Also the history of the world is grounded because it doesn't have godly powerful individuals that can upend the world. Instead the history of institutions and peoples are steered by realistic human/institutional behaviours. Finally magic is well integrated into the world. Magic isn't just used for combat, it's used for administration (contracts, communication), logistics, housekeeping. It also influences courtship, pregnancy etc.The premise is that a booklover gets transposed into a child's body in a medieval-y world. She kickstarts herself with that earthly knowledge, however as her enterprises grow, she begins to rely just as much on her the knowledge and connections of that world. (In a sense it's like an isekai nested within an isekai.)Later on she also looks to the world's past to recover useful knowledge that the society neglected (which plays into her main goal of creating a massive book ecosystem)She also has good project/human management skills i guess.S1 of the anime is decent but after that I'd switch to the Light Novel.
