What is this in my ear canal? It feels quite hard. The first time I spotted it, I scraped at it with this endoscope tool I have, hoping it was a spot and that it would pop, but all it did was bleed a little. Done some googling but can't really find anything. I first spotted it a few weeks ago and just remembered to check it again today. It hasn't changed size at all. I'd say it's roughly 10mm into my left ear.
>>1565592see that squiggly red line, that's a blood vessel. This means it's subcutaneous (i.e. under the skin).Go see a skin doctor.
>>1565592Why do you have an endoscope just lying around?
>>1565593Oh damn. I just scraped at it some more hoping it'd pop but the fucking thing is solid. Here's a video.>>1565594Bought it a couple years ago after thinking my ears were clogged up with wax. Turns out they were empty and I'm just a bit deaf.
>>1565595Looks like a cyst.
>>1565597I kinda think so too, which is why I tried to pop it, but it's so hard - can cysts be hard? Will it soften over time? I might give it another scraping in a week or two.
>>1565598cysts are filled to the brim with a more or less viscous liquid. They can be stone hard. The skin is also incredibly tough, just scraping won't open one. The only way to "pop" a cyst is with an actual needle, and even then it probably has to be squeezed.A cyst doesn't pop like a balloon, a hole itself will mostly do nothing. The last one I had was luckily in an accessible place - the lip, and even that one barely reacted to puncturing with a needle at all. AFTER using the needle I still then needed to forcefully squeeze it out, it was more of gel than a liquid in there. Not recommended in the ear... Since you have the endoscope you could for now just wait and look for changes over time. Cysts after some time usually disappear, but on the lower lip it was obviously very annoying...
>>1565600Lots of useful information, thank you. I'll leave it alone for now and check back on it every couple weeks or so.

Wait until the spider eggs hatch...do you feel their little feet tickling when they move around?
