This hoodie metallic piece smells, I don't know if thos was originally this color, if it was rusted or something. Anyway, tell me how to get rid of the metallic smell.

Doesn't look like rust to me, looks more like a cupric base metal, might have been coated in a shiny silver metal.

The smell is not metal but by-products of sweat and oils on the metal. Try washing it using good quality laundry powder. You can try soaking and scrubbing it in a 1:1 mix of water and white vinegar, that works for a lot of metallic things like buttons and zippers.

I'd say that's likely, cheap coatings totally wear off like that
Once clean it's a good idea to coat it again. You obviously won't/can't plate it, buy you can hit a dollar store and buy a bottle of clear nail polish

They sell small bottles of Testors enamel paint at most hobby stores. Enamel paint sticks well to metal and makes the metal rust proof.

Nail polish sticks fine, I mentioned it because I've used it on heavily worn metals like this.
