This shit is fucking me up. I use an android tablet to nagivate to remote rivers and shit like this, but the gps simply stopped working, and this is the second time this happened to me (had to buy a bew tablet).
No, it's not this or that other app, the gps itself is not working. I use GPSLocker to track the sattelite connections and it shows 0 sattelites. Location is on, battery saving mode is off, system is up to date, every possible quick fix has been tried and no dice. I never had the same issue with android phones, only tablets. Current one is Tab A11.

I don't really know shit, but I'm pretty sure tablet GPS is shit. It uses the WiFi card to do stuff, and those are crap. A cheap phone apparently works better as it has several connectivity options, being a device intended to use anywhere that has a bunch more radios
