I visited the spirit of Akira Toriyama in a dream. It was in an executive office conference room in a very japan-style building that overlooked the ocean. Although I could not understand him, the dream-knowing let me know parts. He was looking down and aplogizing for the design of reptites in Chrono Trigger for not being perfect. I think during his life he felt he could not express some regrets or negative opinions publically because it was in bad taste to attack the company. We didnt speak but at '4:30' I had to go. At the time of the dream on waking up I had forgotten he had died, and also did not know what he looked like. I searched for developers or artists of chrono trigger that passed away and his image came up. It shocked me because I knew that was him, although he looked older in the dream. How to use the hypnopompic Half sleep half awake / dream state to give me writing ideas?I know about writing your dreams as soon as possible when you wake up but there are moments where I am aware I am half awake half asleep and in this state it seems my brain has been liberated from chains in such that I can create complex sentence structures with long complex words as if I had become an expert in improvisation. It seems in this state I can never choke as one would call it and I just start “talking” in my thoughts. But I never think of using it for figuring out questions I want solved until I fully wake up and it’s too late. I try getting to it but I keep just falling straight to a dream I’m not aware is a dream until I wake up.
