It starts with picking out a mode of imagining first. Mental imagery is good, but the minds eye can be chaotic or uncertain at times so it's good to write out ideas of memes to counter bad memes or maybe even draw or do some simple photo edit. Here's an example of a meme collage I put together a little while ago.
Oh! And music! Music's great too, and like, when it comes to all of this, be sure to take breaks and rest <3
