The simulation is real.We're all in the 3d dimension. Material plane. I think the purpose of this plane is to be dense, real, and realize and learn consequence. Its real. What you do can never be taken back or changed. Its firm hard dense matter. On a higher realm maybe things can be altered or changed but still consequence is realavent maybe to a lesser degree. Maybe one day they'll pull you out.

The Void as the soil of potential manifestation had to come first and I see the Titans and the monstrous seeming beings (in service to God), born of that Void prior to the manifestation of the world as we know it. I think the Old Ones would also fit this bill. So maybe the old ones are really horrifying spider/tentacle monsters who built the foundations of the world.
