What are the implications of red nightvision, "ir scanner", on perfect dark? It doesn't work like thermal scanner, it doesn't show the "heat" of things, that's be "yellow" if that were happening (I think), it works like a red nightvision. This mind you this item was introduced during level where you encounter evil ayys. Could the red nightvision (and it being introduced on ayy level) be hint that someone from the writing team was putting this as a parallel to those stories of red nightvision during vietnam being able to see demons?
>>40999575It is probably referring to this https://youtube.com/watch?v=28e_PA_xczc
>>40999769I wonder what other medias refer it. They Live's goggles (did Kyle Odom have these?) could be a nod to it, but I don't know of other medias that make a reference to it
>>40999575>red nightvision, "ir scanner", on perfect dark? You're barking up the wrong tree, but you're very close. Play the game or watch a playthrough video, some more. It is the x-ray scanner that is the real interest.
>>41001194>You're barking up the wrong treeWhat do you mean? IRL the red nightvision lets you see demons, that's why it was discontinued
red nightvision , one that goes to IR range.. that one will reveal the demons... is that what they tried to say?
>>40999575I find the emergence of this thread interesting because I recently got red glasses to help with sleep (blocks almost all blue light which suppresses melatonin production). Sometimes when I put the glasses on the red light makes me feel a little afraid from time to time, like I'm in some kind of hell world. I think there is a deep instinctual element in genetic memory (or morphogenic field), because deep red sky combined with red light falling on everything likely means there has been a volcanic eruption.I'm sure that putting red glasses on while in a war scenario could likely send the brain into a deep terror response and cause it to hallucinate demons. The brain is already primed with fear hormones and hypervigilance, and then putting the red tint triggering deep genetic memory of disaster would likely push things over the top for many people. That isn't to say that the hallucinated demons aren't real... they certainly are subjectively real for the individual experiencing them. One would have to experiment with it a lot more to say if anything can be done with or about the demons themselves. In the video posted here >>40999769 they say the bullets didn't affect the demons.
>>41003323I heard about this stuff in passing some time ago but now im interested. Are there any declassified legit documents that we know of talking about this?
>>40999575I haven't played the game but I just read a few threads in the archive about this>red nightvision during vietnam being able to see demonsand it spooked the fuck out of me.
>>41003615Suppose there were. How would it change your life?
>>41004223>how would evidence that could lead to evidence of earth being loosh harvesting planet change your liferight...
>>41004223Depends on what it would be written there. I suppose if there is something its more to do with stress and adrenaline of the soldiers combined with shiti first gen night vision making them see things.
>>41004240All you had to do was answer the question. I was not implying the information would not be life changing.Suppose you knew that the earth was a loosh harvesting planet. Do you think that having red goggles that allow you to see demons would mean that you could somehow escape your loosh being harvested? People have known about demons (and have seen them) for thousands of years, yet here we are.Come off your high horse (retard).
>>41004430Would it be bad if more people knew the truth of this place? Why would that be a bad thing?
>>40999575If you're ever in the vicinity of a pair of red thermal ocular equipment, don't ever touch it.Just don't do it.
>>41004443That shit is so rare i doubt you ever seen a working piece.
>>41004468And I intend to keep it that way.Real life horror movie stuff that is.
>>41004468Typo corection : i doubt you vould ever see a working piece.
>>41004440What are you like 14 or some shit? Each reply you make is worse than the last. You don't seem to get it. People COULDN'T HANDLE the truth if they knew it was a loosh harvesting planet. Not only that, but if people started to find out, do you think the loosh harvesters that trapped them there would be happy if people learned "the truth?" It's like cattle outsmarting the cattle farmer. It'll never happen. The cattle won't some day coordinate to a level where they can stage a revolt and escape the ranch.Besides, just because there are demons visible when wearing goggles doesn't mean it's a loosh harvesting planet, anyway. You're so fucking stupid it's unreal. It's excruciatingly painful for me to even respond to your shitty one liners. Fucking tiktok brained zoomer retard. Kill yourself.
>>41004483Cats and curiosity, you know?
>>41004485>The cattle won't some day coordinate to a level where they can stage a revolt and escape the ranch. What if demons can be destroyed with will and intention alone? Wouldn't that cause problems for the power structure, because the pawns of these demons (who happen to be humans) would gradually start to lose their power, because they can't suddenly do something outlandish us nuke everything, the UFOs are there to stop that from happening. Is this what you're truly scared of, that people peacefully (no human gets hurt) revolt against the status quo? Really? You're that violent?
Unless...Drench oneself and an oak baseball bat and go completely berserk with the goggles on?
In holy water, that is.
:D
Was the USA the only ones experimenting with this technology or did the Soviets have something similar?
>>41004501>the bot broke
>>41004580CATCH THESE HOLY HANDS FOO
>>41004518Yeah it's curious how I haven't heard any soviet incident or legend, since they too have their fair share of paranormal/UFO cases, and very good producers of optics
>>41004580The LLM aren't perfect yet. This board has many bots
>>40999769This is a gem
Perfect Dark is a weird franchise. The novels predicted Covid 19 plus the shit with the shapeshifting aliens is a bit on the noseIn the planned sequels the Greys/Elvis would be the antagonists and Joanna was set to travel in space to Saturn where it's moon Titan was revealed to be Earth from the future with Joanna stranded on an alien world freezing to death staring off into outer spaceShame. They had one good game then Rare went to shit shortly after.
>>41007180>In the planned sequels the Greys would be the antagonistsinteresting>Joanna was set to travel in space to Saturn where it's moon Titan was revealed to be Earth from the futurewhat could this mean
Where is the soviet counterpart?
>>41004485kys sperg
>>41010534Weird how there isn't anything on sovtek redNV .
>>41007180>>40999575Yeah I am off the mindset that people do their research and put this kind of stuff in games to not only fluff up the immersion and lore but it spreads the idea around.I miss Perfect Dark.
