As the other anon pointed out, it has to do with your belief system, as a Christian myself, I do believe it attracts all sort of spirits and entities, because that's my reality since I was a kid, even before getting involved with the cards.

The Bible is against it because you shall not have any other source of spiritual connection if not from God, anything else you have to test it, cross the reference with His word to make sure it's true and spirits can lie all the time.

Now as to why God allows some people (however I believe everyone is able, just blocked) to be able to communicate with spirits and see the unseen I'm still trying to figure it out. Yesterday I was told regarding that, God allows but only to serve His purpose, then it shall be true and right in His eyes. I haven't seen anything to compare the ferryman to Charon but that's a really good interpretation that one could easily apply to the card's meaning. The meaning to me is probably more about the passengers, as the idea is that they're leaving behind a situation that was difficult to the point anything is calmer, if not wholly better. A more peaceful destination, closure or afterlife or otherwise.

It's a card of transitions and movement, but it's more about the mental energy required to make those moves.

The ten card of each suit are all about completion, and I think of the swords themselves as representing thoughts themselves. So when I see the Ten card's illustration I see swords (thoughts) having slain a man (body) which to me represents the principle of mind over matter. This set against an open sky represents the new possibilities now available. Am I thinking right? You're right to interpret the swords as thoughts, and sometimes it can also be words. So it's not wrong to see the Ten of Swords as there being a potential for something new, because it's not something recognized under the weight of how much pain or overthinking may be going on when in that state. It can represent cruel or devastating moments, or even a point of no return where seeing or believing something may never be the same so you're forced to change your mindset no matter how much it hurts.

I've also seen the Ten of Swords show up for moments that are basically a "crowd brings out the torch and pitchforks" confrontation, like a dogpiling. Yeah your intuition is right on the money lol they're 100% stringing u for attention. Bretty gud. Seems like your interviewers will be quite friendly and you'll feel immediately welcomed and at home, but then they'll bust out a question that you weren't expecting and it'll kind of feel like a dark souls moment where u get jumpscared by something terrible and you lose all your hp. Or something like that idk i dont play dark souls lol. But anyway you'll get scared of fumbling but you manage to save it somehow and give an answer that impresses even yourself and it seems whatever the purpose of the interview is, you manage to achieve it and you leave feeling satisfied and like you've just played your part in the creation of something new and wonderful.
