There are two problems with that:

1. I receive checks in the mail once every couple of months. For the sake of argument, I'll say I get one every three months. That means there's maybe a 1 in 12 chance that it happens anyway with or without magic. And if magic isn't real, and I perform the ritual and get a check by coincidence, then I risk losing a lot of time and mental energy pursing bullshit.

Shambala publishing are fine. Shambala training the sangha and offshoots have had issues with bad behaviour and abuse. They also have gone away from traditional tibetan buddhism.

NKT worship shugden and curse other schools, there is also a cult surrounding their dead founder and they almost exclusively use his teaching material iirc.

Rigpas founder had some accusations against him but idk the details or veracity. I've heard they are a bit watered down and there are better sources for nyingma teachings.

FPMT is a highly respected mainstream Gelug organisation with great learning material which is free. Lama yeshe was great, also check out robina courtin.

When in doubt just make it on your own, or de-religify a concept you like.
With most stuff of that sort the occult and religious undertones are merely there for symbolic weight. Any gods or deities are pretty interchangeable as long as you stay true to their underlying archetype, archetypes and root ideas are what's important, religious or occult iconography just helps to amplify the significance of said archetypes/ideas.
as information goes, stuff with heavily charged historical and cultural weight packs a lot more punch when in the human mind, but it isn't necessary.

Everytime. Newagey types,loa, "muh vibrations",crowley fans, ALL believe in magic halfheartedly, and for those magic is simply = Event correlation.
Everything truly supernatural or "siddhi" like you call it fake, yeah there's a bunch of scammers but just travel a little and you'll see first hand what you call "bullshit". No you won't find it on youtube or any video. Tibet, Himalayan yogis,brazilian folk gypsi witchcraft , who knows, in my experience and from what I saw, people who can do really weird shit don't even bother to put a name on it like "magic" or "magick" they just do.

Honestly I'm afraid to discuss anything real about magic because I'm worried that knowledge of, and possibly disbelief of, some magical phenomena might actually decrease its realness. And if that's the case then actually teaching any kind of magic to anyone is a perilous affair because the students own misunderstanding and disbelief due to their ignorance could warp the effect while the teacher is teaching it.

What do you mean? Pulling cards is pretty specific. My plan is to make a sigil for a specific suit, pull out a card, write which one it is, put it back in, and continue for a couple thousand draws.
The big problem is what method of sigil making to use. I'm thinking I'll draw the symbol for the suit a hundred times within a circle, charge it using the "jack off while looking at it" method a couple times, then burn it. What do you guys think? Is it reasonable to expect a significant result?
