Why are they pushed so hard to younger generations, who pay for this?
It's the global system of systematized education, naturally when you study science, materialistic subjects for the first 18 years of your life, you will be conditioned to have a materialistic mind.Like Krishnamurti said, Education is learned ignorance.

The only reason I know about them is because I liked post-9/11 discovery channel, I read Sagan’s books, and watched the show cosmos. I wanted to be a quantum physicist when I grew up. Kids who don’t like or care about space/science couldn’t even name these guys if you asked them.
