Have you ever met someone who genuinely understood and embodied this teaching? >You have heard that it was said, 'Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.' But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also. And if anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, hand over your coat as well. If anyone forces you to go one mile, go with them two miles. Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you.>You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven.>Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.> Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.
>>41015890There's a lot of kind for no reason people out there. I have met a few of them. Many fall short saving their own ass or face, fewer beyond that have walked on earth with Christ.
>>41015890Kinda thought they just seemed to hate themselves and searched for a way to kill their ego
>>41015890this man seems pretty close>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8d2VoN3oiZ8
>>41016126If you attempt to fulfill these teachings through a hatred for yourself rather than out of love, you will inevitably fall short of them.

>>41015890literally prayed for my enemies recently and have way more peace about my past. Jesus knows everything
>>41015890Therefore, using your statements, the Hebrew YHWH is not Jesus' God and Father, and Someone or Something Else is! It only gets worse as you begin to uncover the misalignments and contradictions of the Bible the Right Christcuck attempts to gloss over and ignore!
>>41017082Let me guess, “muh flood,” “muh amalekites,” “muh bears,” and “muh Isaac.” The Old Testament leads to Christ who delivered and encapsulated the true perfect morality. The Law was a perfect stumbling block to instill the knowledge of right and wrong and the realization that one cannot attain moral perfection just by following rules, even rules that should be doable for you to follow. As for the behavior of the Lord in the Old Testament, God was on a path trying to instruct humans to intercede for one another and do better. The truth of Christ’s teachings remain.

What kind of teaching is that? Love your ennemy or enemies? So we are supposed to loved Satan now? We are supposed to love a guy who rapes children? A guy who steals from the elderly or from the orphans? We should love a corrupt politician? When you really stop to think about christianity and its message you can understand why we are living hard times such as now when the corruption is off the wall. Because instead of killing the corrupt, the injust and the thieves the christians are "loving" them. The more I think about it the more it is obivous that christianity is a set up made by Rome to control the mass. If at least we got to experience what thet supposedly experienced during Jesus' time, all those miracles, and the blind being cured and the lame ceing cured and the dead rising again. Why we don't see that now? What happend? This is a sign that or the church can't perform miracles anymore because it is not with God or the bible is a lie. Christianity is indeed a slave mind set. You get on your kness everyday and thank God for being alive, even if you life sucks you still are greateful. And when someone dares to question God they get mad and say we shoudl repent or we wll go to Hell. Whoever came u with Hell is a very sadistic being. A soul being tortured for all eternity without the chance of scaping? This is BS. If God really did that then fuck God. What a fucking prick. But christians will say God is good and holy and will praise him for sending your ass to Hell because you questioned God. Where is the love during these moments?
>>41017126So you justify all this? Shows the outright stupidity you have to worship a bloodthirsty god who wants foreskins just like the OT says.
>>41019058What does it mean to love someone who rapes children? Does that mean you want them to continue to rape children? No, surely not, for if you truly love someone, you want what is good for them; to do evil is good for no one. So often people today fantasize about brutally punishing evildoers. They sneer and say, "He should have his balls tortured and chopped off and he should be raped as he raped his victims," and they think they are good people for this. Yet, what does this accomplish? Let us consider the counter scenario: that the rapist repents in prison, and decides to live the rest of his life trying to do good and help others in whatever small ways he can (this does not cancel out his former atrocities, nor is it intended to). Why should we prefer the scenario where he is tortured and killed in revenge to the one where he repents? What good does it do, except to satisfy our own bloodlust? So you see that the essence of loving your enemies is to bring them to repentance as well, and not to revel in their suffering, but to work tirelessly to have them cease in their evil and come into a greater understanding of the truth. Though this may not be possible for the vast majority of such evildoers, it is important that it remains your aim for your own sake as well, for the heart can be easily corrupted, and in our generation we see readily that people are led astray by their own bloodlust, thinking themselves justified by the cause they wield it towards.

>>41017082Based. Pretty much Gnostic belief.
>>41019675Based>and they think they are good peopleI think this is usually the problem. These same people that would rejoice at the torture, castration and death of others will froth at the mouth with anger if it is pointed out to them that much of their own conduct is in dire need of improvement. They are very insecure about their moral standing. They would see themselves as saints, but since they know deep in their hearts that they fall mortally short of this, they must project the just punishments for their faults onto others.Only when we are fully conscious of our own shortcomings will we learn to be generous with mercy for the shortcomings of others, even in the gravest cases.
>>41015890i think I understand it, but I find it very hard to embody because of immigrants desu.i guess i should be directing love in that; i just want them to leave, and it would be better for both of us if they went back home. they wouldn't be debt slaves to the banks here anymore and I would have my nation and culture back.one way i heard it is that the unrighteous man is never at peace, because he has yet to be caught, and he's always scheming his next heinous act. so it's a blessing really, to catch him, stop him. this is why imprisonment can be just. say it's a pedophile, you act out of love for children by locking him away. but you also act out of love for him to stop him from ruining himself with more heinous acts.the situation with immigration is unnatural, and leads to unrighteousness in itself, so it would be love, to stop and reverse it.
>>41019058>>41019675>>41024659must be tough being limited by the English language^^
>>41019675>They sneer and say, "He should have his balls tortured and chopped off and he should be raped as he raped his victims," and they think they are good people for this.This. If you have angry violent impulses like this to begin with then you're spiritually lost.
>>41024720The truth is, for better or worse, that you as an individual have very little control over what will happen at the national level regarding immigration, beyond your vote and local political involvement (whatever that may be). The more important question is, how do you act towards people you encounter in your actual real daily life? I truly believe everyone would be better off if they concerned themselves more so with that than with the grand narratives of our society (not that those should be completely ignored, it's just that everyone today thinks they have to be a pundit and act like the basis of morality is what you abstractly believe about society rather than how you are as a person).
>>41016126I feel like his teachings are misunderstood, especially this part>But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheekfor most this seems to be interpreted as being submissive, week, self hatred, etc. but from my point of view this is saying that in the face of evil you must become incorruptible and by "resisting" the evil you are lowering yourself to the same level as him, which you shouldn't
>>41025625voting doesn't resolve this problem because no political party is going to deport them. the profit motive is too strong, and the other parties will just quash them even if they try. so I don't vote, because I won't vote against myself.honestly I find the culture most of these immigrants bring to be repulsive, and their presence is a constant passive depressor. I want to be around people like me, smart, hard working, Christian morality. Fillipinos are nice enough, I think a sizeable minority of them should be allowed to stay, not so many that there's a permanent underclass of them, that's horrible.I treat people respectfully, and with humanity for anyone who shows humanity as well. but I do discriminate based on personal experience and gut feeling, then confirm or change impression after evaluation. when you work in jobs like security you realize fast that;>don't judge a book by it's coverwas written by people with shit covers for shit pages. You can't be caught as a doormat for these types. I don't have a belief of society, I have a knowledge of it, and that, along with my experience, informs how I exercise my agency.
>>41025838My reading of that line and the surrounding verse(s) is that you can essentially nullify another person's malice and render it absurd to them through the method Christ describes. This is a way of radically loving even your enemies and giving them something to think about, in the hope of bringing them to repentance. The end goal is the love and wanting the best for your enemy, though: so if there is a situation where this method would only encourage them, I don't think it contradicts Christ's teaching to discern that and adjust your approach accordingly, so long as you don't lose sight of the end goal. I have other points of contention with this show, but I do genuinely think this scene from "The Chosen" does a good job of displaying this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vnpcrpfvKR8
