We all have them, most of us see them, but only a few people pay attention to them: the scattered, transparent and mobile dots and strands in our field of vision. In ophthalmology, they are called “eye floaters” and explained as vitreous opacities. But is this explanation correct? In this book, the author Floco Tausin follows the seers’ experience that eye floaters are not a cloudiness of the vitreous humour, but a shining structure and an expression of our state of consciousness. In this collection of previously published and revised texts, the author explores the shining structure of consciousness in the arts and religion of indigenous cultures. Topics include the geometric art in Stone Age Europe, the shamanic beliefs and art of traditional societies in Central Asia and South America, as well as the rock art, crafts, architecture and myths of Native Americans of the USA and Canada.

>>41028604I have visual snow, and floaters, and sometimes I see those little bright flashy things but not often.Am I a shaman?
>>41028604I keep seeing people theorize that having visual abnormalities means that you're more spiritually in-tune, but is that really true?I've always thought it was because I had shit vision. If I look up at the bright sky whether it's cloudy or blue, I'll always see little sparkles from my vision and eye floaters if I focus on it. I have visual snow and grain especially when dehydrated, and I see afterimages a lot or my vision goes kinda dark and greenish/blue/purple if I go indoors after being outside for a while.I recently had an eye exam not too long ago and got all the advance scans, and they said my eyes are healthy. I have astigmatism and lazy eye so I think that is really the reason why I see these things since I've experienced them since childhood.Speaking of visual stuff, does anyone get closed eye hallucinations? Can you close your eyes and move muted multi color blobs around with the movement of your eyes and then they fade away slowly in the darkness? Sometimes if I am dreaming half-awake I'll see the last image of my dream drift and fade away into a purpleish color in my closed eye vision. It looks like a more muted version of those sound visualizers on windows media player if you remember that.
>>41028604Smoking weed often will give you tons of these. Especially joints or from a pipe or if you don’t clean your bong. Seems like being indoors often makes them worse too. Maybe sunlight or vitamin d helps reduce them.I have one eye floater that looks like a little white dot on the surface my eye with a tiny white tail. Been there forever.
>>41028604I have no idea where but i recollect some theories that eye floaters are somehow related to or the seeds for a lot of hallucinations that occur when ingesting psychedelic substances…
