Before to committing to a church I read and saw many testimonials and how some people had these outwordly experiences when meeting God, I felt I was unlucky. But I didn't need some ecstatic experience, my baptism was amazing, soon after I was teaching kids, hosting events at home, socialising a lot and that was what I needed. I really thought I was starting over and eventually I'd go Acts 19:19 but it's a struggle to go against what I have been for the most part of my life, what was the core of my belief and identity for so long.

Hence why I feel hypocritical by serving two gods and the Bible isn't gentle about that. I cannot tell you what to do when I'm going against the rules myself but I'm scared someday the spirit of God leaves me if I don't behave. I believe that the Holy Spirit is around us, waiting for the moment we'd be open to it, however if you reject or disobey it, it'll be gone forever, the despair of King Saul comes to mind.

It was kitchen gas, there was an issue with the valve of the tank and I think it indeed compromised my already bad health but I guess since it wasn't so obvious back then, my concerns were just deemed as anxiety. Truth is I haven't been healthy since, physically and emotionally.

You've been through quite a lot, that must have been such a scary experience. I'm glad things are improving although the air hunger does feel concerning, I hope you get better and better. Be gentle with your body with yourself and look into some sort of therapy too to learn how to disarm those moments of hypervigilance. I don't dare dain to speak for the Almighty, but this is me interpretation.
I think, and feel, that purity of heart is what counts above all else. For one, it is impossible for any of us to know the truth for certain, outside of those rare direct mystical experiences. I have to be up front and admit that I have not read the whole Bible cover to cover, but I would like to point out that there are plenty of other aspects of the Old Testament that people nowadays find disagreeable, like child sacrifice. Leviticus was really a cultural implementation, and likely had good reason for all of its inclusions, but I think context is paramount especially in this case. I think that the beauty of Christ's message is that he was trying to restore what other cultures might call the Tao.

I completely understand your trepidation, I feel it too, and I believe that the vast majority of Christians likewise have some degree of anxiety regarding sins they partake in. I think it's called scrupulosity.
Truly, I feel that God made sure you continue to wake up each morning because you have the soul intention of helping others. I believe that Christ reminds us that we are never too far from God as to be severed entirely, and as long as we continuously return to Christ every time we stumble, we'll find peace. As far as we may know, Divination may only be a sort of superstitious gamble as far as we know, but I feel it has the potential to give people comfort where sometimes the Church may only offer existential anxiety, unintentionally.

I was raised Catholic until 12, I was introduced to divination at the age of 8 but at 16 I bought my first tarot deck and got involved with other religions and esoteric practices since and my parents were cool with it (dad was a freemason). I've been with both, albeit extremely sweet and welcoming at first, I've felt like joining a cult when I was around.
