I'm going to say something blasphemous for this board, but I'm firmly of the opinion that "spiritual experiences" involving literal mind-altering substances, are mostly bullshit / imagined.These experiences can be helpful or harmful, but you don't need to be tripping on shrooms or DMT to make spiritual contact.If by "altered states of consciousness" we include things like initiatory ego dissolution, alignment with 4D consciousness, etc. - it becomes a bit more explainable.But to explain it is a multi-layered web. I'll say this - Hoffman is mostly nearly 100% onto all the right ideas, metaphysically. Theologically he seems to be lacking, which is the final puzzle piece.But it all boils down, OP, to 4D-conscious alignment and a dash of obsession, that's typically what kicks things off for genuine initiatory experiences.

That's why you often need to work on your personality, attitude and perspective to make progress in spiritual pursuits rather than just meditating and performing exercises by rote and that's how it draws attention of various entities.You know how some people supposedly see aura? Now, such entities are much further along and see much more, so depending on who you are and what you think you present yourself differently to various entities and depending on that and what they look for, you may draw attention of some.

But if one at least has a somewhat solid framework of understanding and focus beforehand then substances can definitely kick start the process i am referring to. They are definitely not a shortcut for spiritual growth.
