I've been praying to Silvanus before hikes lately. I try to make a sacrifice of oats and mead to him on Sunday evenings as well. The first time I did, it was before a wild hike I went on. Went off trail (no trails anywhere where I live), trekked through the creek for a few hours, and then climbed out of the gulch straight up a steep hill. Tough as all fuck, so I took that to be a challenge from Silvanus to earn his favor. Since then, I've had fewer problems with bugs while I'm outside, I haven't seen any birds of prey circling my dog, and I've had spiders show up in my house that have helped out with some pest insects. He seems to be watching out for me.
