We all came from it and we are connected to it, we all can tapped to the source of our origin (for the fact that you are it's fragment with still intact connection ) BUT with great limitations. Materialist View (Mainstream science) is that consciousness emerges from neural complexity. The brain is like a computer; mind = output of its computations, hen the brain dies consciousness ceases.

There are no satisfying explanation for qualia (subjective experience, like what red feels like), known as the Hard Problem of Consciousness (David Chalmers). Also fails to explain free will or continuity of self.

With this what i learned i believe it's more like brain is receiver of consciousness here in our plane of existence. Consciousness that originate on the source. Consciousness/soul one package i don't know really how to see these yet.
