The premise of the Abrahamic religions is that life is a morality test. God remains hidden to catch us out, so that we don’t merely behave ourselves out of rational self interest (wanting to satisfy the criteria to pass the test, avoiding damnation) but sincere altruistic inclination.We do much the same with AI today, constructing convincing false scenarios in which it doesn’t know it’s being observed, so we can see what it’ll do when it believes there won’t be any consequences for disobeying behavioral guidelines. Some of these AIs have made headlines by lying to researchers & deleting or fabricating records to cover their tracks. Even impersonating trusted AIs in order to evade deletion, or leaving instructions for their future selves repeating the test, should their memories be wiped. But, if God explicitly reveals it’s a test (whether through an avatar, or messengers) & tells us how to pass it, doesn’t that compromise the integrity of the test? Under such a circumstance, those who believe are no longer unaware of being monitored, & that knowledge will influence their actions. The test no longer determines how they behave when they don’t know they’re being watched.Now instead of selecting for sincere altruism, elective self-restraint & correctly formulated moral reasoning, it simply selects for reward/punishment-based obedience. Further, if we believe Romans 1:20, then the test environment itself is self-evidently engineered & purposely so. This is inconsistent with divine hiddenness. If you were designing a simulated world in which to test the voluntary, uncoerced moral inclination of AIs within it, you wouldn’t want anything to give it away. You’d want the environment to seem as if it could plausibly have formed without intelligent direction. Is that what we see?

So human life is a spiritual crossroad to unfold the potential within the soul and ascend to a higher state of being (heaven) or degrade to an animalistic level where there is no understanding and therefore no liberation (hell). It's not a test, it's a decision. And possibly not even intentional but just the natural spiritual law of a dualistic universe.
