I have left my body multiple times during intense meditation over the years. Is this an illusion or genuine?

Everytime I thought “this is an illusion” some very real concrete evidence shows me that it’s not.
I used to call down aliens with the homies just using my mind as a kid.
Years later CE5 and Skywatcher come out with psionics as a provable concept.
You’re mileage may vary, but if it feels real then treat it as such.

According to Pastor and state congressman Tim Remington, that’s how you get possessed by demons

How would I know? Even if I sat in the room with you and observed, would I be able to observe something immaterial?

I mean if you can astral project, yeah.
Or it’s joker 2 folie a deux electric boogaloo

Exactly.
Anyway my point was not sceptical contrarianism or anything, just that no one is going to be able to give OP a definitive answer.
You experienced something bro. What more can I do for you? I can't tell you anything about what your senses perceive.

All "reality" that is based on duality is illusion.

meditation allows you to tune out of external reality in essentially the same way you tune out of it when falling asleep, which causes you to enter the same hypnagogic state same as when falling asleep, except you're entering it while fully aware instead of by going unconscious. it's that kind of awareness in the hypnagogic/hypnopompic state that's the core of all techniques used for wake-induced lucid dreaming, out of body experiences and astral projection. so it could have been any of those of or depending on what you believe they're the same thing. but to actually answer your question the only way to find out for sure what you're experiencing is not "just a lucid dream" (which can be deceptively hyper-real) is to do something to verify that for yourself like miraculously obtaining totally unknown information or shared experiences with other people.

Next time, try to see something your physical self did not see, then check later if it was right. Or if you can interact with objects, mess with them, write a message or something.
In my case it's unfortunately always an illusion because I can interact with objects so I purposely mess with them, but when I wake up everything remains unchanged. Or maybe it's real but in another reality and now my clone who lives there thinks his house is haunted.

Perception in ether phase isnt the same as perception in real phase. For one you are not using a "physical" body
