Is it just some people's lot in life to be evil?
>>41069888I've heard stories where people say a kid gets born and just seems to have no empathy and hurts people and animals without being abused themselves. I also think there are just as many ultra good people
>>41069918>I also think there are just as many ultra good peopleHow many people do you think are balanced between the two extremes?
>>41069918I don't think ultra good people exist.I am a pretty good guy and I still consider myself neutral, not good. Everybody has a certain level of selfishness.About evil kids, most kids have low empathy because it hasn't been fully developed yet, and there are little psychos, yeah. You don't necessarily need to suffer to be a little sadistic psychopath. You just need a fucked up brain
>>41069918>>41069888Low intelligence and lack of impulse regulation tend to get you the most depraved acts of evil. The truth of the matter is that most of those people just did bad shit because they were bored or got a sudden whim and didn't even stop to ruminate on it. Some of them, when asked to explain their actions, literally can't. They get visibly agitated, because to them it's not even a sensible question. There is no "why."There may be something to the notion of inherent evil.
>>41069975What about highly intelligent extremely evil people? There's no shortage of those
>>41069982Mostly that's just the excellent ability of the human intellect to compartmentalize the "other." It's a natural function of human thought as far as I can tell.
>>41069996I disagree. There's clearly people who lack certain aspects of the rest of the human race. Some people just lack the ability do care about other people. There's no need for comoartmentalization.I am not saying there aren't people the way you claim, but it isn't that simple.
