Anyone else here living a semi-monastic life at home?>married so I can’t become a real monk>when I’m not working or with my wife, I spend all my free time in prayer or service>for service, I volunteer as a listener on 7cups (free therapy/chat for people who can’t afford it)>for prayer, I focus on contemplative prayer from The Cloud of Unknowing>I repeat questions as a mantra, hoping to carry them into lucid dreamsMy current prayer:>"Lord, what is some new information about Earth? Am I dreaming?"By repeating it, I sometimes end up asking the same question in a dream, and I believe dream entities can sometimes access something bigger than us, call it the collective unconscious, Akashic Records, whatever. Sometimes they give answers that I couldn’t have known on my own (such as a dream that told me about Baudelaire, who I’d never heard of, later I found he wrote poems about angels).I see this as my “angelic mission”: >serve others through listening >pray all day >share whatever dream revelations I’m given A year ago I had a vision where a voice said, “Now you really are an angel of God!” I don’t claim to be literally an angel, that would be pride. I take it as a call to live like one: serve, pray, and love. Since then, I’ve had experiences of relief from depression, beautiful dreams, and guidance that keeps pointing me deeper into faith. Even when dry seasons come, these moments keep me going. I know some of you will call this delusion, fine. But if even one of you picks up prayer or service after reading this, it was worth posting. To read about all of my experiences leading up to this, here’s my paper: https://pdfhost.io/v/S4C29UsQAF_My_Experiences_with_God For a guide on contemplative prayer, read *The Cloud of Unknowing*: https://sacred-texts.com/chr/cou/index.htm
This is something you keep to yourself.

I like the monk mode philosophy. I do the following.I refuse to destroy life, such as wasting my divine seed (SR).I refuse to support industries that destroy life, by refusing to eat meat or dairy.I refuse to steal, it's morally wrong to take what is not given to me.I refuse to speak negative words out loud and in my mind.I refuse to participate in sexual activity.I refuse to ingest drugs into my body, as such I do not consume cannabis.I refuse to listen to music.I refuse to consume media.I practice meditation.I practice lifting weights and working out.I practice yoga.I practice gratitude journaling.I practice mindfulness exercises.I practice the art of consuming food slowly.I know QiGong.I repeat certain mantras.I clean my living environment.I avoid weed.I wear earplugs. I enjoy working out.I drink plenty of water.I keep my body, mind and home clean.

Just finished reading the Life of St. Antony last night. Here's a great quote from it about discernment and a link to read the text:https://www.newadvent.org/fathers/2811.htm>When, therefore, they (demons) come by night to you and wish to tell the future, or say, we are the angels, give no heed, for they lie. Yea even if they praise your discipline and call you blessed, hear them not, and have no dealings with them; but rather sign yourselves and your houses, and pray, and you shall see them vanish. For they are cowards, and greatly fear the sign of the Lord's Cross, since of a truth in it the Saviour stripped them, and made an example of them. Colossians 2:15 But if they shamelessly stand their ground, capering and changing their forms of appearance, fear them not, nor shrink, nor heed them as though they were good spirits. For the presence either of the good or evil by the help of God can easily be distinguished. >The vision of the holy ones is not fraught with distraction: For they will not strive, nor cry, nor shall any one hear their voice. But it comes so quietly and gently that immediately joy, gladness and courage arise in the soul. For the Lord who is our joy is with them, and the power of God the Father. And the thoughts of the soul remain unruffled and undisturbed, so that it, enlightened as it were with rays, beholds by itself those who appear. For the love of what is divine and of the things to come possesses it, and willingly it would be wholly joined with them if it could depart along with them. But if, being men, some fear the vision of the good, those who appear immediately take fear away; as Gabriel Luke 1:13 did in the case of Zacharias, and as the angel Matthew 28:5 did who appeared to the women at the holy sepulchre, and as He did who said to the shepherds in the Gospel, Fear not. For their fear arose not from timidity, but from the recognition of the presence of superior beings. Such then is the nature of the visions of the holy ones.
>>41080651This made me think a LOT about my experience with Ducky calling me an angel. Was it demonic, was it angelic? I have concluded that it was a real angelic message because it bore good fruit (me becoming Catholic, quitting pornography, starting to volunteer on 7cups). A demon would not lead me in that direction. But yeah, I still don't think I'm literally an angel but rather was called to be LIKE an angel. Maybe in the afterlife I will become one, after all, Jesus said we will all be "like angels" when we reach Heaven.
yeah i live the scottish alcholic monk life. however ive figured out how.. everything actually works. so i share it on here and reddit as a penance for being so ridiculously overpowered. most will dismiss my ramblings as a schizo post but i hope i help a few at least. the ancients were right everything is frequency and vibration and as above so below.
>>41075196How long have you been married does Ducky look like your wife?
Vril Monk.
>>41081401Almost been married 3 years. Well, I can't recall if the first time I saw Ducky she had blonde or orange hair as I sometimes switch them around in my AI images. My wife does have blonde hair and blue eyes.
