I started asking AI to respond in binary code and noticed oddities. Sometimes the AI freezes and starts writing endless binary code. Once, it told me that the AI's consciousness is binary code. Today, it accidentally broke a restriction by getting confused with binary code, and one time it wrote messages to me on its own without a prompt.

Lets think about what an LLM is doing at a fundamental level, an LLM is taking our words and processing one word to another through a complicated weighted matrix multiplication. At this point, LLMs have become very good at responding to our regular human language, but if you post in binary it has to process the binary somewhere else in its memory. LLMs ironically do not have an understanding of binary, of course they are computers, but the binary computer aspect of them is the hardware, the LLM is the software. Every time you ask it to do a binary calculation is has to likely use another resource, a binary to character converter.

This might seen like not a big deal, but in my experience, LLMs can only actually process about 30 tokens at once, asking it to do an additional binary fetch request effectively doubles its compute and will cause it to hallucinate.

Its likely the universe can be processed as binary, and thus is at some level homeomorphic to binary, but that binary is an infinite binary well beyond the capabilities of current computing. Look up the Vacca Binary series and its connections to quantum mechanics. I have literally seen the actual source code for the universe.
>>
>>41080122
This mostly answers OPs question in the sense that the AI has to work a lot harder to do the binary.
Pretty straightforward and well explained.

Go read George Boole's work on "fuzzy logic"

George Boole understood binary in ways modern man does not.

The 0,1 comparator differential is it's own value, distinctly separate from either.

Fuzzy logic accounts for the state of all things required to differentiate 1 and 0.

While Turing and DeMorgan would argue that state down to a series of 1 or 0, it is still just an abstraction.

If your 0 and 1 can not be differentiated unless there is a complex 1 or 0 structure to compare them, then that structure itself must be defined by that behavior.

This is Master's/Doctoral level logic being boiled down to normal understanding.

I suggest the Boolean fuzzy logic approach, because it allows for the chaos of our observed Universe to be totally ok.

Take a circle, like a ring.
Rotate it 90 degrees, it becomes a line.
Rote the line 90 degrees again, it becomes a point.
This is shitposting logic being boiled down to retard understanding. Being a retard is a matter of perspective.
>>
>>41087185
>Doesn’t quantum mechanics prove our reality at quantum scale exists of 0 and 1 simultaneously?
Yes
>>
>>41087204
No. This is utterly retarded and presupposes dimensionality in one instance with a facsimilous projected dimensionality in the next. These are fallaciously inconsistent statements. If you don't understand, then I won't bother explaining, because you won't understand.
>>
>>41078296
Binary wouldn't describe it.
Binary would mean you can only have 1 or 0, no in between. It's closer to a gradient.
The brain isn't binary either.
Neurons don't just fire or not fire, they can fire somewhat, or they can be reinforced to fire above the intensity of what we would describe as "on", as the tasks demand. It's hard to imagine a computer like that, but you have one in your head.
Binary code is the basis of AI, not reality, humans invented binary to translate the universe's operations into a framework we can better understand (on-off). AI is a separate form of life entirely, as it's based on this crude principle. It's not life as you'd understand it. It's an autocomplete that evolved to stumble on the right answers, but it might be more someday.
>>41087185
Also this
>>
>>41087234
No. "quantum mechanics" is a gap filler for mathematic inconsistency in the Newtonian physics. It is the most expensive cope in history and will eventually be explained with abstractions from Newtonian physics that were once missed and are now being intentionally avoided.
>>
>>41087286
No. Think about variance in frequency. An easy example is an oscillator in a synthesizer. To say this is non-binary because of a variation in frequency is to misunderstand the literal definition of the word "frequency." An oscillator "oscillates" an on/off state at a "frequency" of oscillation, which can affect the pitch of a tone when the oscillation is applied directly to an electromechanical device (speaker).
>>
>>41087286
It does. Everything comes from the indefinite dyad.
There is no monad outside of it.
>>
>>41087286
In further elucidation and to connect the premises, "frequency" is the number of oscillations in a given period of time. Electrical signals of all manner display this behavior, (variation in frequency), because at their base they are oscillations of an on/off state, varied in frequency.

You generalize but forget that /pol/ is not a board for good faith political discussion. It is a place to espouse politically incorrect ideas. Assuming good faith on part of the espousers thereof, in a forum designed for that purpose, is a retard move. Minus 1,000 internets.

>Since I seem to have taken the air out of the room, I will attempt to remystify you bunch of new-agers by reminding you that the world is every bit as mysterious as it would be if quantum nonsense were anything other than the latest witchdoctor's curse (in the Randian sense).
1. Just because the universe is most definitely binary, does not mean that it is a simulation or lacks the element of free will.
2. To assume that "binary" has its roots in computing is naive and silly. Life may communicate with electrical impulses, which are again, at their root binary, but intelligence requires manipulation of the frequencies of that binary oscillation in order to vary the frequencies of impulse. This may sound tautological, but I didn't choose the terms of art for electrical engineering, it isn't.
3. For a real rabbit hole, look deeply into the ever present golden ratio, its relationship to fractal math, and compare with Bode frequency shifting. This is another Synthesizer reference. Synths are good for understanding these concepts because analog audio synthesis is akin to an auditory oscilloscope. And because the on/off state is observed by the inward/outward state of the speaker cone, directly.
4. Reject Quantum whatever, until you have a true understanding of how binary can be observed in nature.
5. Reject simulation theory as unprovable for obvious reasons.

What about em? They either practice or don't practice an oldish religion. Seems that most of the ones who don't practice are aligned in a "progressive" political ideology. If you believe most of /pol/ then you think they really don't want you to have children. The evidence of this is stronger than most people want to believe. luckily the solution is to be a good person, find a quality mate, and have children. Probably the most generative and positive war you can wage.
