>>41087903astral projection is a level above lucid dreaming
IRL is literally dreaming. It's just that what dreaming is is misrepresented.

>>41087903No, real astral projection is real, it happens for real, you can remotely see things and sometimes interact with objects, while lucid dreaming is just a dream, it does not really happen. But most people call lucid dreaming "astral projection".
>>41087903Lucid dreaming gives you fake OBEs that are basically you dreaming of seeing whatever you expected to see.Real astral travel feels much weirder, partly because you have no body. You see everything in a different visual spectrum to.
>>41087903Yes.Only larpers pretend otherwise.None of them float around the world and go through walls and see everything that everyone is doing. All lucid dreaming at best.

>>41087903In my experience, it's not very useful trying to box these events into discrete categories. I've had dreams where I was invisible and could phase through things, as well as dreams that are as concrete as real life. The only thing that has made me distinguish an astral projection from dreaming in general is the exit and return portion, but I don't think that makes it necessarily a different phenomenon. I think Frank Kepple has a good layout of this, where dreams are a projection into your personal psychic scape (Focus 2), and astral projection are a projection into either the material world (Focus 1, filtered through Focus 2 iirc) or into the afterlife portion of reality (Focus 3).
>>41087903No, astral projection is completely different from lucid dreaming, I have experienced both.
