If you were to really think about how a person acts or exists, you'd come to the conclusion, as I have, that the only actually verifiable way for you to know that you really exist, is through other people. If you don't have a reputation, if you don't have people vouching for your existence, if everyone suddenly forgot everything about you and there were nobody to actually be able to recall the person that you are, you'd essentially not even exist. And I'm not even saying that everything hinges on the impact you have had on others, or contribution, anything similar to that. What I am saying, however, is that existing in itself means that those that you reflect your existence upon, in the end, are the ones that define your existence as a whole. Funny, isn't it? But true. You can't actually exist for yourself alone, if you were stranded on some island without any type of memory of who you were, and if you never actually met people in your entire life, you'd pretty much not even exist. Not good, not bad, neutrally non-existent. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how the cookie crumbles.
