i swear to god, that Norbit came out in the 90's
seriously, how many of you remember this coming out way earlier?

A case of time travelling BBBW?
>>
>>41090007
seems like it, a few movies seemed have done the same
it sounds so retarded so say, but when i talk to my family they agree
one of us remembers watching Norbit back when they were in the military during the 90s, for instance

99 for me he reused many of the same stuff from the klumps, also I was briefly in a timeline in the early 2000's when napoleon dynamite was released woke up in 2002 and it never existed.

Then much later on it was released around 2007 -2008...
>>
This, nutty professor, flubber, doc do little.
>>
>>41089989
No. It was relevant that it came out in 2007 cause it's what prevented Murphy winning an Oscar for Dreamgirls.
>>
>>41089989
Nah, I remember clearly when this movie came out when I was a kid, and that was the 2000s.
>>
I remember Castle airing somewhere around 2005-2006, but apparently in premiered in 2009. But the thing is, I remember the layout of the house being rather different and me because a few years younger. Like the TV was not even in the same I saw one of the ads in. I was rather young around then, but still.

this
norbit also has too much modern tech etc in it... no mandela at all

I used to watch DashieGames a lot, I watched 103 of his original Mario Maker episodes and then watched 20 of the Mario Maker 2 ones (I stopped because then it was painful watching the original ones empty of content.)
Last time I watched him in 2023.
Youtube claims the last time I watched him was in 2021.
I hadn't watched him in 4 years? There's no way, something is up.

I vividly remember "Becareful" being a word, because I remember when I was learning English I kept forgetting if it was Becareful or Becarful, so that's something I actively had to remember

A couple of weeks ago I think to myself "huh, haven't seen that word in a while", I did research and turned out it was never a word, even though it fits the style of how some English words are combined

I remember distinctly seeing it on TV and school books, but I guess it never did

I remember this about another movie, watched it on TV for years, we have satellite TV channels that never air movies that are less than 2 or 3 years old, so I saw this movie on quite a few channels over the course of a few years

Then sometime in the 2010s I see it being released, brand new in theaters, I was so confused, and the teailer showed scenes I distinctly remember

I forgot the name of the movie and I spent 30 minutes trying to find it but couldn't

Yup.

I remember waiting for the Simpsons movie to come out and it wasn't supposed to come out until 2008, but now it says it came out in 2007, that doesn't make sense to me because I remember it came out in 2008

I also remember seeing Age of Empires II for windows in 1998, but now it says it came out for windows in 1999
The expansion was supposed to come out at that point
>>
>>41094982
what the fuck is with the year 2007?
i wonder if theres a lot more of this
>>
Epstain.
A stain on humanity.

>>41092223
yeah this is stupid bait
>>
>>41089989
Nope, Norbit has always been the product of the 2007s in my universe. The main universe and home of the Christ/Buddha/Revolutionary Soul.
See ya during the great tribulations. Three days of darkness and an international finance crisis.

Welcome towards the path of redemption, friends.

There's a lot of similar media that isn't always as popular, then it gets buried and becomes hard to find. I've used ChatGPT to try and recall movies, tv shows, and video games. Sometimes i like to go back and build a timeline for a year or parts of years. I try to fit my experiences and other things in there. Sometimes i'm still at a loss for how my memory is different, but sometimes it clears up a potential mandela.

Vibe shift. I distinctly remember a lot of aesthetic changes around that time. 06 into 07 and then that summer. I'm American, so most of my memories are US centric.

>rise of HD tv
>9/11 becoming more distant
>modern smartphones, the iphone specifically
>media catching up with the technological shift (compare early 2000s movies to late 2000s movies)
>Transformers and Live Free or Die Hard
>those two movies, the Die Hard one especially, caused me to notice that media was becoming very post 9/11
>tv channel aesthetics changing (SpikeTV/Spike and G4)
>I remember tv channels changing how they presented themselves. several had a more sleek look and stopped being so raunchy. the mid 2000s had a lot of dudebro and geek edginess
>they started to move away from this in 06-07
>social media becoming more prominent
>GTA 4 (2008)
>that game captures the 2000s pretty well. compare it with GTA V. it's like a time capsule to just before the modern smart phone era.
These are just some random things i thought of.

Also, 2016-2018 was another shift in my opinion. The generational focus shifted from millennials to gen z and the 80s coming back into style hit really hard. I think the next 2-3 years we'll see the 90s hit really hard. Specifically the middle to latter half of that decade.

>GTA 4 (2008)
plus The Orange Box (2007), that was a super huge thing for me at least; and Fallout 3 was in 2008 too

speaking of valve, teebo and kai is such a fucking weird thing, it genuinely feels like it shouldn't exist
>was in development during HL2 beta
>commissioned by valve, developed by outside developers
>was made for the original Xbox
>used the Gold Source engine
and yet somehow, it just gone totally under the radar?
with how much people were searching about valve back in the day during the huge HL3 boom, you'd think it'd be a early note

even in the fucking 25th anniversary documentary (both ones), there was NO word of it at all, and yet they talked about literally everything else, even things that honestly could have been left out
it an anomaly, it feels like it shouldn't exist

theres also the issue of the minecraft splash text "the cake is a lie" never existing, which i know for a fact i've seen before
and no, i'm not talking about the achievement, and no, i didn't have any mods, yet supposedly it was never there
