Why did we separate from God in the first place?
The straightforward answer is that God allowed, or rather, it was his will that we separate and fall so that we could rise back up with our own consciousness and freedom. We're never truly separated and only separated in experience and perception so that we could be conscious and complicit in our ascent. If we stayed one with God, without the descent, as we were before the apparent separation, we would stay transfixed in the intense pleasure of being one with God, but essentially lifeless and without will or being able to experience the boundless pleasure of being able to be the giver and to be like God much like how all of the physical and mechanical laws and phenomenon of the material world are bound by laws and are lifeless in the spiritual sense and only recieve (mechanical, animal, vegetative, pure ego etc...). You(we, really) descend so that you can ascend and receive everything that God wants to bestow as a truly free creation.

If we are meant to be children of a "God" and made in the image and LIKENESS of said "God", then we were left to grow on our own but instead empathy and compassion have been lost on too many, instead of inner strength many find crutches to rely on and when things go in their favor they thank this "God" and when things don't they either blame the "Devil" (or some other scapegoat due to their inability to take accountability) or damn the very "God" they so often run to in times of need, nope nope nope we were meant to grow into Gods ourselves but instead became pants shitting arrested developed fools, but in time and with some effort :3 things shall right themselves.
