This story takes place in Mexico (SLP) 3 years ago.Context: My uncle (lets call him J) was caught cheating on wifey with the local town's skank. Wife wasn't happy and his kids eventually found out too. She took the house and the kids didn't want to see him or let him see their grandchildren. My family shunned him for betraying his family and embarrassing them in the process. He was suicidal at that point; he lost the house, his job, and resorted to drinking. He was fucked at that pointOnto the actual story:One day, J absolutely lost it when he was drinking w my other uncles and my grandma. He fled to a dried out lake 40 min away from home and stayed there, contemplating his life. He asked forgiveness from God and La Virgen de Guadalupe for the choices he made. He was on the verge of ending it all, until she appeared. In his eyes, La Virgen de Guadalupe appeared. J claims that she spoke soft yet firm, telling him that he shouldn't give up yet. She was comforting him and telling him it'd be okay. After 30 mins of talking to the figure, she vanished. He drove back home and told my grandma about the encounter, then told my mom about it.Most of us are catholic and we believe she exists, yet im skeptical because of him being drunk in that state (idk could be wrong). Even so, the encounter to me was holy yet spooky, he apparently went to the lake, which is known for death (due to the cartel or other people who praise(d) Magdalena Solis n wtv doing suspicious activity or random accidents). Im surprised he didnt get hurt in the process of going there. Other than that, lmk what yall think.I have other stories that also involve other paranormal shit and not just religious figures, lmk if yall wanna hear that too !
