Is there any /x/ reason why life gets so much better after quitting social media? It's almost like some kind of spell Is broken
when you compare yourself to others you strengthen the myself and that's usually bad
Sa nisha sarva bhutanam... uh,Jagarti pashyato munehThe wise are awake when the masses sleep. And viceversa
>>41098242Isn’t 4chan basically social media but tarded?
>>41098242It's not so much /x/ as it is consumerism. Social media websites receive their funding from advertising. So they are designed to maximize user engagement with the website. The longer you're there, the more ads you see, the more revenue the website generates. So algorithms are brought in to maximize screen time and interactivity. Turns out people give the best metrics for those two goal points if they feel strong emotions. So your experience becomes custom tailored to whatever content makes you feel the most. Get off of social media and you can finally be free of the emotionally manipulating algorithms. Life just becomes better.
>>41098242Quit social media and politics and you'll be better off mentally than everyone
I have done this in the past and nothing got better at all, it is quite the opposite.>>41098262Yes
>>41098242The human brain isn’t meant to be inundated with split second emotional stimuli.Like weed has gotten more potent as time has progressed, so too has social medias ability to elicit a response in your brain.By severing the connection your brain is able to process emotions in their season, for their entirety.
>>41098242Social media is a loosh farm
>>41098262It's rudimentary, more authentic. >>41098870This desu, making you angry, afraid, and distraught gives them the most engagement. Insure the government enjoys a constantly traumatized populace as well.
>>41098242i don't have the energy for it
>>41098242Vadim Zeland's concept of pendulums explains this best for me.Social media is an agglomeration of energy serving other people's purposes, not yours.Get off the train, serve yourself, don't give your energy to a chaotic mess.
>>41098242>Is there any /x/ reason why life gets so much better after quitting social media? Not x much but it's a tease that never gives you complete satisfaction. It's like a video game you're obsessed with and have grinded for months, and they keep adding shit to "do" faster than you can finish it (Intentionally), and you just quit one day and it's like winning a fight.
>>41098242i only post and look at idol@ster things on mine and i'm having a great time. i know there are so many things on twitter, but i've managed to completely separate im@s from everything else on it. can't tell you how i did it because it was just always like that when i made it for the purpose of im@s. like, even those cute cat videos that were really frequent early on completely disappeared
