Interstellar object 3i/Atlas is visiting our solar system!

>3i/Atlas Tracker

https://theskylive.com/3dsolarsystem?objs=c2025n1

>Anomalies detected so far:

Anti-tail, tail points towards the sun.
Ecliptic plane trajectory.
Travelling at 68 km/s
Flies by Mars, Venus and Jupiter.
Nickel with no iron <- rarest sign so far.
CO2 ratio of 8:1 against water.
Made from non-organic compounds.
As of today 3i Atlas has a red front and green back.

Yeah, I'm saving up for a star tracker and decent telescope right now. What camera are you using?
>>
>>41103137
Started off really basic: Canon Rebel T7 without modding and a somewhat shitty basic 300mm lens.
Also managed to get a mechanical star tracker second hand for real cheap though, worked kinda good I think, but my set botched for unrelated reasons (humidity).
I would like to get into it again this fall/winter.
>>
>>41103170
>I would like to get into it again this fall/winter.
Me too. I have had nothing but overcast skies here since the end of winter. Very little rain, though. The Canon should be decent enough, I'm looking at the move shoot move nomad. It's on the relatively inexpensive side, may be worth checking out.
Back to your original question, since this is the fastest moving object to enter the solar system (that we know of), I think it's going to be a horrible bitch. Even with a star tracker the object is going to appear as a streak due to how fast it is moving.

Jupiter is at the opposite side of the solar system in comparison to the entry point, and beside you dont want to slow down too much else you could get caught in jupiter gravity notwithstanding the fuckton of moons would make figuring a safe path needlessly harder for no advantages. you'll never get it, because dark matter isn't real. it's a literal placeholder that was invented so that kike (((math science))) for gravity-based universe could add up to 1. other theories, like plasma-based universe don't need dark matter cope to work.
also, (((dark matter))) is not anti matter. it's literally just a regular rock which should be there, but for some reason is invisible, unmeasurable and literally impossible to detect. it exists on faith alone.

Heighliners transport their cargo via wormholes
>>
>>41105148
uhh...gravity based science doesn't need dark matter. Dark matter just explains the universes origin.

Anti Matter isn't a concept. It can be produced, but its incredibly volatile and dangerous. Dark matter probably does exist.

Just because you don't understand doesn't mean its not happening. Its probably too complex for you so you are free to recluse yourself to primitive ideas to cope if it helps.

Here's a closeup of just that section of >>41104440 blue image. Hopefully it isn't ant scale.
>>
>>41105160
i know what antimatter is, it was produced in lab, so it's a proven thing. read my post again, i never claimed anti matter isn't real.
dark matter is a cope, it was never proven to exist. it doesn't explain universe's origin, it explains one unproven hypothesis of universe's origin. until people actually travel all over space and prove these things, that's all it'll ever be. an unproven hypothesis, likely by some jew.
hypotheses are like that. remember when they had a hypothesis that detonating a nuke will burn away all of earth's atmosphere? they believed it as true until someone actually detonated it and nothing happened.

Hey OP, do you know about Apophis that is supposed to coincide with Earth in 2029? they have a tracker named OSIRIS-REX doing a multi-mission tracking it. It somehow is coincidently tucked close to earth this month with 3i/Atlas cross-over .. but they only just found out about 3i/atlas in July/August this year.. Cute.

It has some interesting “anomalies” but so far its moving exactly as predicted so it’s most likely a nothing burger comet that most people won’t even be able to see.
The anomalies are cool but humanity doesn’t really have a large sample size for comets. It’s different from what has been observed so far, but it could be more common than expected.
Many people expected an alien ship simply because the one of the first photos looked like a flat flying saucer or cigar shaped ufo with RGB lights but it that photo was due to the specific technique used and no suck lights are visible normally.

Image stacking is what I've been trying so far, but the results are still garbage, spent weeks trying to capture Andromeda galaxy but no dice, I mean I captured something, it's clear it's there, but it's hot shit. Gotta keep trying, I'm pretty sure the reason for such lousy results are my lack of knowledge/practice more than my equipment.
I'm cursed/blessed with not living in the states so I have somewhat easy access to low light pollution zones, and the skies are usually clear too, humidity on the other hand is what got my last set ruined because of dew.

I think that the gravitational influence is totally neglible, cause the speed of 3/I Atlas and his mass. And there are other Comets that are a lot smaller than 3/I Atlas and the do their thing, surroundig our Solar System/Sun without gettigen pulled into the Sun, which alos sometimes happen, but for this an Comet must be nearer than SDO or Parker Solar Probe to the Sun, that the Gravitiy will pull so strong that there is no escape for the Comet.

No, and I don't have personal experience with them, but they are a less expensive option.
I went the more complicated route. Right now, I attach my camera to my spotting scope and mount that on a aluminum tripod. I can get pretty good pictures of the moon with it, okay pictures of Saturn, but that's about it. I'm saving up for a good refractor telescope and a device called a star tracker that compensates for the Earth's spin, otherwise, the other planets and everything else you photograph appear as a streak of light across the camera sensor. The digital telescopes do this automatically for you.
Here's a pic of the moon I got earlier this year with my basic rig.

Thank you, but is also only Smarphone captured, and not really highend like other Pics Hobby Astronomers with real Astrocams and Guiding, Stacking can do, but i think a Smartphone Pic is also a bit stacked by internal Software.
If you want a good Stativ go for an Ertel Vermessungsstativ from the Budeswehr, but you have to do a bit work on it on yourself, you must install on your own a Spread protection. But is an eays DIY Thing :). Ah and you have to buy an Adapter for the Mount, here is it so that i can guarantee you a good and cost effectiv solution with the Vixen GP. This Adapter fits perfectly to this Stativ, was Luck that my Starfriend figured this out.

It will be closest to Mars on October 3, and there;s no keeping an eye on it, it will be hidden from earth by the sun. If it actually does anything, only NASA will know as the JWST will be the only telescope that can see it at that time. It should be visible from earth again on December 8, which mans these threads will continue until then.

This is just a drone. Likely an unlicensed one that might have been found out to be used by a hostile nation for spying was shot down by one of ours. It happens a lot these days. I've even seen it happen in broad daylight.

It makes me annoyed that space infrastructure is never targeted by terror groups
Not once in history has a band of heavily armed whackos ever considered space or exploring it to be symbols of oppression

Why the fuck would someone wishing to instill fear would bomb a fucking bunch of rebar and electronics that has at most an handful of peoples present at all time? Like there is a million targets more worthy of potential attack than some random observatory, and beside it isnt like these things were that costly to build, a power substation cost way more in comparison.
