These guys were stationed near where I grew up in Hawaii. My dad was infantry in Vietnam and I remember him saying these guys were hard. Who knows but ya, my dad had some fucked stories and even after I was born (when he was 40) he was pretty messed up by it all. His platoon was almost wiped out twice, once with 3/4th of them wounded or dead, he was only 18 at the time.
