What if you open the closet door one day and a demon that isn't just a thought form pops out? There's no good reason to believe that you will never lift up a rock or open your eyes and see something entirely bizarre with no normal physical cause. Maybe one month you'll be so filled with rage that you miss your period and end up giving birth to a rage monster and the doctors, police, press and society will react in complete shock with no indication that anyone has witnessed anything remotely similar. And it only took a few days after the birth for my severe pain to disappear completely.
