I'll present a couple videos where the concept is put out there that The Internet is a sentient entity in some way and has an awareness and agency of it's own.https://youtu.be/g-0svZgzbDU https://youtu.be/2BVjIOpV9KQI'll also provide a video where the case has been made that the Internet is in fact dead or devoid of human interaction for the majority of it's presented activity.https://youtu.be/BEIZHlfjAT8What does /x/ think? How "alive" is the Internet (in various ways)?---This also serves as a Lainposting thread.

>>41142248The internet has receded, the tide goes out, tifepools appear full of life, where life used to swim abundantly all over, now it is limited to certain places. As the waters ebb and flow some places die and some find new life, but it’s not the same as it used to be. If a big fish gets in a little pool, it eats up everything, YouTube absorbed a lot, and places like kick or rumble eat up most other types of video content that doesn’t exist on YouTube. Everything competes with everything else in the bellies of these big fish. No longer is there a place for flash cartoon, a place for comedians, a place for skits, a place for nerd culture videos, a place for news, a place for tv shows, a place for movies, a place for information on each individual videogame, the dark souls place, the Pokémon place, the final fantasy place, the ufo video place, the ghost video place, they are all drained of their users and funneled into the same place. Same goes for most else, everything is done through google, you couldn’t even find a website about a random subject without google or an equivalent. Back in the day you’d find links to other sites through other sites. My favorite site was flashplayer, on there you get to miniclip, funnyjunk, ebaumsworld, stickpage, armorgames, I could go on and on, but you’d dive into this world that was a cross site ecosystem, and the same would happen for other topics, searching about the history of Rome, you’d get tons of sites all referencing others, you’d find a site focusing on architecture, on politics, on roman technology, on the gladiator games, on roman cooking, on roman religion, all different sites and full of good unique info. There is still good stuff online, it’s not completely fucked by bots, but it feels like it is sometimes. There’s still life, but things are very different than it was.
The internet is gay, K3K!
