This may seem like a blogpost but there is an important question I would like you to answer at the end. Then I am going to talk about Edgar Cayce and his followers a bit. I believe we are in the midst of the AoA. It began with the rise of science. At the time humanity was deeply tied to the land of their birth, to their beliefs and national/racial identity. As time went on people became less so, but still deeply tied to their heritage and their families. Think of it as the slow rising of a volcano. Not we are in a massive slow motion explosion of humanity. All old traditions and ways of living and seeing the world are disintegrating in all directions. This is terrifying. Many of us are not living normal human lives. In the midst of this we have taken birth to process all of the trauma of our ancestors, which was previously under the surface but is being released by the explosion. Modern tech like the internet has dramatically accelerated this process. We are totally disconnected from our past and our traditions, and looking inward at the harm embedded within them. Humanity is also migrating more than ever. This is part of the disintegration of traditional identity, for both sides. For example, millions of Indians are moving to every nation on earth. This disintegrates the identity of those countries. But Indians are also being forced to participate in the explosion. As they are confronted with scientific rationalism their own identity will explode. The question comes next.

But shouldn't we try to defend ourselves and our way of life? Shouldn't we resist being exploited and abused by foreigners, for example the rape gangs in England, or the destruction of entire industries by immigration scams in the US and Canada? It seems New Age ideas of the Age of Aquarius are mixed with a kind of suicidal empathy, toxic positivity, pathological altruism, which embraces abuse along with change. Let me know what you think.
