here's the ironic thing about red and blue: we perceive red as visually "intense" but it's actually the weakest color in the spectrum in terms of photon energy emission, that's why it's easier to look at than other colors, and while blue is visually "calming" it actually contain high energy photons that can harm the eyes if looked at for long enough
