Staring at this gif will induce a out of body experience

do it for + 20 minutes

>paper:https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/36996009/

Mind you if go over 30 minutes you might have a panic attack or lose consciousness
>>
>>41180689
cool! thanks for sharing this anon :3 have you tried it?
>>
>>41180699
yes which is why im recommending it so go into a dark room, large screen and stare at it for 20 minutes
>>
>>41180689
Thanks a lot anon. Have a bump in appreciation.
>>
>>41180708
nice. would you minds sharing more about your experience? did it happen naturally or did you have to force it?
>>
>>41180689
old shit. that pepe gif with the spiral background worked better than this
>>
>>41180713
I use to do it everyday like meditative practice but i once did it too long and experienced out of body sensations that gave me panic attack. So if ur a newbie too long of an exposure might be too much so go for less than 30
>>41180711
plz do it and let me know what you feel and if possible can u describe what patterns you see in gif
>>41180715
fuck off shill

>higher visual stim leads to higher csf outflow
>csf may contain waste products so its potentially healthy to increase its outflow (metabolites not measured in test, cant without tap?)
does this potentially imply the higher visual stimulation itself is creating waste products thus necessitating the need for increased outflow?
csf takes energy to create, is this increased outflow beneficial in that it works similar to working a muscle, or is it taking important csf and wasting it on 20 minutes of high cost visuals
oob always cool tho
>>
also their method was sub 30 secs of exposure

It burn my eyes the first time, but the second try last 1min30 (while finishing my joint). It can be meditative but nothing like out of body experience. But you can see lot's of different form or pattern if you keep your eyes relax (not focusing)
>>
DON'T DO IT. IT WILL MAKE YOU NAUSEOUS AND YOU MIGHT HAVE A SEIZURE.

Made them all in paint. It's therapy to me. Not only to look at them, but to make them. It's kind of easy: You make a black shape (an outline) on a white background, and then you copypaste it (with transparency), and when you've done that 20-30 times, you fill it in with colors, and then color the background black, and then white, to remove the boundaries. You can go even further and recolor the boundaries to the color before them, in order to obtain a fade. Maybe I'm just retarded, but it's therapy to me.

Made a really cool audi-ish logo yesterday. Took a circle, then another circle and displaced it some pixels, then I copypasted those two circles and turned then 90 deg, and then overlayed it, and then colored the background black, then I filled in the white spaces with yellow. Very simple, but it creates really nice, satisfying patterns.

In this, to obtain the fade, I merely adjusted the colors for evey step, and the removed the black outlining afterwards, and then copyswapped it and recolored the backgrounds, so they make 4 different kinds of foggy fades. It's pure fucking therapy. You should try it.

I believe it. I swear one time I was playing super hexagon (a game that makes bright visually repeating geometric patterns) and I swear when I closed my eyes afterwards I was transported to a different dimension

It's very simple, though.. First you make, for instance, a circle.. Then you mark around it, and then choose "transparency" at the bottom of the drop down menu.. Then you copypaste it, overlay it, and make sure to align it properly.. Then you copypaste the new image (with more overlays), and then vice versa.. Until you got enough whatever shapes, and then you color the background black, and then you fill the white spaces in with whatever colors you like, and then you color the background white again, so the black background, including the outlines (which were black before, and then get swallowed, since they're the same color as the initial outline. Play around with it, and you'll figure it out. Make some funny shapes, overlay them, color the fields and see what you get.

The article says that the subjects stared at the image for 16 seconds, then rested for 16 seconds, and repeat. It's supposed to be a pulsed stimulation, on and off, on and off, not continuous.
