Why have vampires fallen out of the zeitgeist?

When I was younger you could find all sorts of information online about vampires. LARPing as vampires was super popular.
People would want to be vampires blood slaves.
They had cool websites about ‘real’ vampires.

Today nobody likes them. They aren’t mentioned anywhere.
It’s weird how the whole thing just doesn’t exist online anymore.

Like I know that the big break up of the larping Vampire Alliance in New Orleans was a thing but like come on that was one group.

Go to bed, Lily, your vampire larp is an embarrassment even to the other schizos.

True but like there was also Anne Rice.
And like women did like the vampire archetype so like what changed?
I mean I know the fae are in right now and wolves so shouldn’t vampires kinda be liked even tangentially?
