Has anyone ever managed to successfully enslave your own mind and body so that they completely follow your will, even if part of the mind wants to resist? If so, how did you do it? Even if it didn't last long I'm interested in knowing methods you may have used to accomplish this. It feels so absurd that I struggle with procrastination, like many different parts of brain are constantly at war with themselves. I need to bring my whole self under my command.
I managed it the day after a mushroom trip...for about 24 hours I had complete control and could direct my mind and body to do exactly what I wanted with zero procrastination and zero conflicting thoughts. If I recall, it was like I was operating the human from slightly above.
>>41199072> it was like I was operating the human from slightly above. This is very interesting to me, since I've discovered that when I try and focus my consciousness at a point slightly above my head, it brings out a weirdly detached feeling, but it's hard to maintain.I also remember reading an essay (maybe by Alan Watts? I forget) about mysticism many years ago about how keeping your gaze tilted upward when walking produces better, broader thoughts, while keeping your gaze toward the ground makes your thoughts more earthly and lost in day-to-day stresses and concerns.
do you exercise?
>>41199843I try. I go for long hikes on the weekends, plus kayaking and biking. Lift dumbbells. I probably am still not exercising as much as I should though, I sit on my ass in an office during the work week.
>>411998575-20k steps in a day. working up. walking is the main thing to accomplish zone 2 cardio
>>41199857focusing on lifting is a good start. you start with your body but your mind will try to make you stop when you feel discomfort so you're engaging control of both. you have to set difficult goals and push yourself to meet them and lifting is a very simple way to learn this process. of course you should be cautious, I experienced mental burnout for a year after my last trial and it set me back quite a lot because I gave in to comfort as a reward.
>>41199865Going to commit to this. Walking meditation has always been helpful for me.

>>41198853Nonsensical question. Your body is your mind is your will.
>>41198853>Has anyone ever managed to successfully enslave your own mind and body so that they completely follow your will, even if part of the mind wants to resist?Weird mindset. If something hostile usurps your consciousness you simply become aware and remove it like a tick or leech. From your center decide what you will do and experience and then live like a sovereign. Dont be a tyrant either. Some spirits need your audience to. Some you should not entertain. Dont bargain with your true will and inner sanctum.
>>41203047Ah anon, but it is definitely possible for spiritual beings to hijack your mind in ways subtle and overt. You might identify with something or your thought patterns might distort. Sometimes people with very uncontrolled emotions can actually be half posessed.
>>41203077congratulations man. But I think you're missing something important. We are not all the same person. What works for you is not guaranteed to work for another, in the same way that a retard cannot learn the piano like a savant.I think the natural solipsism inherent to the human psyche is a cancer, it leads to people being misclassified and misunderstood. Doesn't mean people shouldn't try the method you mention, they might have the capacity for it and just haven't tried it yet, but please do not treat this like it's easy for everyone. I have had to fight demons since I was 14 to achieve just half of the sanity others seem to have been born with.
>>41198853Do the opposite of everything you want to do constantly for a few weeks, you’ll see.
>>41198853The harsh truth is: you can't. We're all just passengers in our bodies, believing ourselves to be the pilots. The subconscious is the landlord, you're the guest. You may be able to convince your subconscious to do something - that's the whole point of affirmations - but you'll never completely "enslave it", as it's far more powerful than you.
>>41198853Why would you want it to follow solely your will? God's will should be the primary track.
