I'm a public high school teacher. My job is very time and energy consuming and keeps me mentally occupied with something for most of the day. I've had a recurring issue since the new school year started where I'll have dreams of being at work. Nothing crazy or surreal, I'll just be at work going through regular lessons or dealing with a student behavior issue. Sometimes I'll wake up before my alarm and my brain will automatically go into lesson planing mode the second I'm conscious. Obviously it's driving me nuts because I feel like my day job is invading my personal life more than it should. I used to be a decent lucid dreamer when I was younger, but these dreams are hard to recognize in the moment because of how mundane they are. Any tips /x/?

>>41212594Can't give you a great answer other than these things are ebb and flow. You probably had that lucid dreams regularly in your early mid 20s, and now you're in your early 30s stuck in a routine. Maybe I'm right?Well if I am it's Saturn, the return. Things don't need to be max crazy all the time. Sometimes you need to sit back and absorb. Besides all the fun, that's part of what dreams are for. Organizing. Maybe you aren't there fully consciously in your waking life? Going through the doldrums? Well you have to be conscious about it somewhere...https://youtu.be/jE32UkiAXNE?si=bRXTxuGfaDrOJy9-
>>41212594>these dreams are hard to recognize in the momentyou want to be lding? what basics are you following. rcing every time you walk through your classroom door, deal with student behavior, other common things across dreams and waking life? dream journal etc?
>>41212594Try to remember what you used to think about when you went to bed. If you can't remember or you can't think of anything then try to think of your life several years ago, before the stressful job. Put yourself back in your shoes and remember what you thought about, fantasized about, worried about, everything. It sounds like you've lost a piece of yourself and your mind is resorting to work chatter to compensate for the loss.
