That's common for most spiritual AND "mundane" mental techniques because the result is dependent not only on the method but your subjective comprehension and compatibility with it.

i used for some several weeks last year then i gave up. then a year later i woke up in the middle of the night vibrating like fuck and knew i was about to have an OBE but then i heard two demonic witch like females talking to eachother so i snapped myself out of it.

then maybe a month later i woke up floating above my body with the same vibration feeling again. i knew what was happening so i relaxed then i suddenly slammed back into my body.

ive been meditating most days and i think once in all my sessions i managed to put my body to sleep and experience vibrations. it was too intense and i got scared and aborted it.

Here's my experience with just binaural beats.

I started in a motor boat in the ocean. It then changed to a paddle boat in a swamp. As I'm paddling, a hood figure in another paddle boat approaches. He takes off his hood and reveals themself to be a skeleton. I tell them that they look cool and they continue on without saying anything. I continue on and then a swamp creature with big black claws pulls themselves up onto my boat. I say that I like there claws. They tell me that they've lived in the swamp forever so I ask them where I should go. They point to my left. I look to my left and see a door of white shining light. I thank them and head to the door. Once through the door I'm not in a kind of swamp village. There are tree houses made out of vines and there are humanoids that look amphibious. One of them I had met previously so I talk with them a bit.

I then take a break and think about what I want to do next. I had drawn a picture of an eyeball with wings so I thought what would it be like to meet this creature. I went back into my meditation state and met the creature. I mounted it and it started to fly into the sky. I then was in a white room with a deck and chair. In front of me was a couple talking about their relationship problems. I listened and gave them suggestions on how to fix their relationship. This was interesting because I did want to be come a psychologist at one point. I ended my experience there.

Once, after trying every night for several days, one night while in focus 12 I was upset about it, and a sort of fairy was passing by, she closed a hole in the ground and opened another one, and she told me "Later when you go back down, just use this hole instead, it leads to your new reality." But it didn't work. Other times I tried again, closing the hole I came through and opening a new one, but it never worked.
I tried something else, inspired from what I read on reddit, I imagined a gate that leads to my new reality and walked toward it, but every time I was totally unable to walk through it. It was like trying to push a wall. After a few days I started to be able to walk through these gates at last, but behind there was just nothing.

I've tried the FLAC. It's good at getting into a deep relaxation but beyond that never had anything happen.

Monroe said after just 15 minutes of lying down he felt vibrations throughout his body and bright light. I've never had that happen.

Truthfully I've done it off and on for various months. Sometimes a week at a time every day doing it other times 1-2 days in a week. I'd say total time I've done doing the tapes is 30-35 full days as in a full day counts as doing one tape, usually 40 minutes or whenever the tape ends. That's one day of training to me.

Every time I found myself floating in the air above the village I came knocking at my own window to check if I would hear it, but it never worked. I also tried to mess up with objects. It's still fun to live these hallucinations but it's disappointing that it's not real.

Most likely unrelated but if it'll keep repeating and only when you try to project, it may be some subtle/"energy" blockage (while many are unaware of it, projection is not merely a matter of a state of mind - strong subtle/etheric body helps greatly, that's why quite some people projecting also practice some other spiritual stuff and it also may be a reason why many others struggle despite doing everything right).

3 things happened:
When I went to bed I started to have extreme shivers. Similar to the ones you get when you have a bad cold. But it wasnt cold and I was not sick. My body just vibrated heavily. These vibrations are supposedly happening very often on the files and meditation.

When i woke up the next morning I had a hypnopompic hallucination. I was laying on my side with my face to the inside of the bed. I was dreaming of a mountain lion jumping. Exactly as it was jumping i was waking up, eyes open. I could feel it landing on my bed (behind me) and walking from my legs upwards to my head. I could feel the dents its made in the bed. Obviously there was nothing.

I started to get exploding head syndrome. I often doze on the couch and wake up 1h later to go to bed. For 2 weeks nearly every time I was dozing a loud bang woke me up. That happened very often. Not as often it was a random hard to decipher word or my name. It was as loud as a person directly next to you. Only one time it was several words but it did not make any sense. This shit was really scary, I feared to lose my mind. But aftetr 2 weeks it was gone.

I will never touch the gateway files again. I have no clue why all this happened. I dont know if it comes from the files but it started the evening I used it. I did not know what exploding head syndrome or hypnopompic hallucination were. I google wtf was going on with me. Im trained with hypnosis and can easily be hypnotized. Dont know if this has any relevancy. I dont care if anyone believes me, I have no agenda, im just anon.

True and you shouldn't worry. These are normal and to be expected, often getting through that phase allows actual projection (if there's no other issues or the person themselves suppressing it, for example through fear). Think of it like a vehicle's engine, going through checks, revving up and jolting you a bit as it prepares to drive you out.

Dream can bleed into consciousness till practice and discipline handles it better. Some may also be stimuli from both your body and your projecting double ("spirit") misinterpreted through your dreaming mind, especially when one's unused to this. Again, some of the dream bleeds out into consciousness.
Energy body instability (I reckon you've jumped into it without any stabilizing and gentle prior spiritual development/practice)
Related to above - underdeveloped spiritual faculties, making you pick up and jumble into one mess: your own stray thoughts and signals/stimuli from the astral (be it your own subtle body or other things out there).
Anyway, I fully understand you being worried, but none of it should be any serious, lasting threat.

The tapes gave me this unexpected side effect: I tend to take control in my dreams. I mean my real dreams, when I sleep.
At first I had no control at all over the visions/hallucinations during the tapes, I was only a viewer, but after some time I started to be able to have some influence or control, to replace things, events or places that I didn't like with others. Then I noticed that in my dreams I now tend to do the same, when I don't like something, I take control and replace it, consciously.
(I wish I could do this in real life instead.)
Anyone else got this side effect?

I started yesterday for the first time. Today I moved on to the second discovery tape. It was interesting to have the body be asleep, I think I did it right. Towards the end I had what kind of looked like brown wojak heads flying towards me. It was rather faint and only lasted a few seconds.
