I usually never open the curtains in my bedroom because I'm scared of the sky at night but I've been up watching. Haven't seen much as far as lights, not even satellites.

I did see a weird slow straight down shooting star though. I did not get the impression it was far away but more like between me and the horizon and slowly moving straight down if that makes sense.

Ironically they'd likely end up buried under there when 30 meters of silt gets deposited over their door. There'd be some fishermen that managed to navigate the storms possibly, and some Nepalese/Peruvians, but the rest of us would be drowned under silt, suffocated by toxic gas or starve and freeze in the years afterward.
