is possession by gods / ancient spirits a real thing? Im mentally ill (diagnosed and all that) so obviously take everything i say with a grain of salt. Ever since i can remember, ive always had this sort of inner force that could control me and almost magically put thoughts, feelings and other things in my mind. Its difficult to explain, because i also have a normal inner dialogue and normally i can trace my thoughts back to something specific. But then there are times where its like a spiritual takeover, and i say spiritual because these thoughts and actions always revolve around grandiose ideas, trying to find out occult secrets and trying to practice them. Is this just some sort of intuition i gathered from reading content like that for the last 10 years? Or is it something more? Its also interesting to note that this invisible driving force in me completely vanished when i was on antipsychotics, ssris and when i engage in addictive, degenerate behaviour such as cooming or social media.

Possession can't happen just ransom to just someone. A person who is chosen for this by an occultist secret society goes through years of preparation and rituals, probably involving extreme things. It's a thing for highly secretive initiated people, usually from old elite nobility.
