the only problem I have with this hypothesis is how the hell would they make a dark hologram? a hologram that blocks the light behind it only using projected light. holograms today can only be bright, they can only be seen against dark background because they make the air glow with laser. is there a way to stop light with interferometry?
do people in this tread know any (more solid) evidence of holograms?
