Is there any proof that consciousness is not an emergent property of the brain, but a fundamental facet of reality AKA 'the soul'? Is there anything about consciousness that cannot be explained by natural law and the chemistry of the brain?
>>41235298Hm? Nah. It is actually a pretty simple basic mechanism once you see through it.
>>41235505>tripfag posting reddit responses Just go back. Why do you even come to a paranormal board if you believe that?
>>41235298yes/

>>41235298Well, consciousness exists between the lines. It doesn't reside inside of neurons or this or that part of the brain. Human consciousness exists somewhere in every spark between every neuron across time. Consciousness is fundamentally an electric phenomenon. You aren't the brain, you are the force the brain is manipulating in a very particular way to function as it does. Thus, how could the brain be the source of consciousness? It can't be. It can only tug the strings so to speak. The mystery deepens the more you learn about electricity and the electro-magnetic field as a whole. This fundamental force which our consciousness derives is hardly understood. There's an abyss, a profound depth when you dwell on it for long enough. The worlds brightest minds can dig deeper into understanding this but will never be able to grasp its entirety, neither will you. This is part of the reason why consciousness has a hard problem, it can't be pinned down until we understand the fundamental force behind it, the electric field and this same electric field also determines every single chemical reactions that occurs in our reality. The same force that your brain utilizes as consciousness is the same force that propels your metabolic functions, every reaction between one molecule to another is informed or mediated by the electric field. Its ridiculous to assume that consciousness is solely the outcome of the brain, and not the outcome of a fundamental part of our reality. Consciousness isn't your mind, its everything you see and know. The electric field is aware, and this to me, is God. The fabric which ties it all together, which makes you you. This is the mystery and its why secular science will never be able to reconcile consciousness to anything of substance. Its the key.
>>41235610The whole science of occultism, with a history of many thousand years, confirms than consciousness doesn't end with the death of the physical body. This immaterial consciousness - usually called the soul - proves that the body (brain, nervous system, or whatever) isn't of any importance for the soul.
>>41235646this is usually explained away as hallucinations and/or drug trips.would you like to provide some proof against the contrary?
>>41235635That why you accept your subconscious' symbolism and get over itUntil the body is evolved enough to peeceive those things
>>41235663>this is usually explained away as hallucinations and/or drug trips.Maybe by atheists/meterialists who really know nothing about the spiritual world. I have a hard time taking such people serious. It would be like going to a museum with a group of blind people and then debating the pictures with them.
>>41235691it's an exercise in logic. if it is real, then it is logical and interacts with the world according to laws. what OP is asking is ways in which the soul interacts with the physical world that can't be explained by physicalism.
>>41235298the whole domain of non-local phenomena, starting with NPC friendly "NDE" experiences stretching over all the way to telepathy, telekinesis, bi-location, teleportation and various other mechanisms related to the consciousness field, which is the fundamental substratum of reality.start by digging into NDE and it won't be too long until you figure out the method to become lucid in this dream which we call reality.
>>41235732The laws of the material world don't apply to the immaterial world. And what materialists just don't get: acces to the spiritual world is a privilege for humans, nothing they can demand.
>>41235749would you like to provide some proof against the claim that NDEs are happening in the brain during the resuscitation part of revival? what would be some points that go against this notion?
