not aware of anything specific but the place undoubtedly has horrific emotional aura. massachusetts side isn't that bad but once you cross into n.h. you can feel something evil lurking underneath. think that may be more due to it being new hampshire though

>>41251410Western Mass is worse than anywhere in NH. I get a very bad vibe out in the Pioneer Valley. It is not a catch-all, but I do myself believe that King Phillip's War back in the 1670s has a large role in creating the bad vibe you pick up in certain places here. Most people when they think of Indian Wars only think of things like the Sioux/Cherokee etc. Not many remember how brutal and no-holds-barred it got here back before the USA even existed. Indians would massacre and burn entire settlements, then the colonists would march and do the same to them, all across the state too. I think it is what creates the atmosphere down in southeast Mass at least, in the hockomock swamp.
