>Why isn't it possible?>It's just not>Why. Not? You stupid bastard.
HOLY SHIT A TIME TRAVEL JUST FLEW OVER MY HOUSE
>>41252340It is, but you lose your memory and you live the exact same life over again, and eventually you go back again, forever, not knowing that you are stuck in a timeloop. Notice that only you are in this timeloop, not others, not Time itself, other people just go on with their lives.
>>41252340it is possible but you're sent to a completely different universe/dimension than the one you're originally from, which destroys the entire purpose of time travel to buy a sports almanac and get rich in the future
>>41252340i'm a troglodyte, but first we should know what "time" is. is time just our construct for the movement of energy and matter, and would time travel just rearrange every elementary particle to what it was before? is it some fundamental force of our universe like gravity that can be manipulated? is it neither? both?until this is answered, we cannot say it is possible or not. everything else is just guess work.
>>41255109>first we should know what "time" isThere is a structure, like a gigantic table made of an infinite number of dimensions, that contains all possible states. Our linear movement inside this structure gives us the illusion of Time passing. Things change because we move from state to state, a bit like the frames of a movie, and everything makes sense for it's a linear change. If we didn't move then everything would stay frozen because we would stay in one state, in one cell of the table. To illustrate and simplify a lot, look at this picture and imagine that your linear movement goes from the states in blue to green to red. Things change in a linear way that we call it Time passing.Note that you don't go through the states that are in orange or pink or yellow because they are not on your path, but they do exist. Call these parallel universes or other realities, the important point is to understand the structure, because the following is quite cool.Sometimes our motion is not totally linear though.Sometimes some things make us jump, end up on another path, a color we were not suppose to go, and then you notice that the world is more or less different, sometimes almost the same but a few things are different, we call this "mandela effect", or sometimes very different, we call this "reality slip".And if instead of going in a linear motion you can take control, you can choose what happens to you. This is what magic is, the ability to make things happen at your will, controlling your path in the structure. So Time travel is actually exactly the same as choosing what happens, but more difficult because instead of just turning slightly you try to totally go back.
