does anyone know why when you smoke weed and listen to music you are in tune with the music? i mean if you listen to a song while sober you don't get to hear the actual song, until you get high the entire song is completely different.
Im not much of a stoner, but this phenomena always freaks me out

>1 Group of people will never hear the actual song because they are sober

>2nd group while high will have a different version of the song

im in another group because when i was high i listened to a song and experienced it, i heard things i wouldnt normally hear, when i got sober i listened to the song to try and listen to what i heard when i was high, and i can't hear it.

it made me think that theres layers of different realities and we have to be tuned into different realities for it to be heard

I listen to music and hear the actual song all the time and I don't smoke weed. I would probably sage this post if it wasn't made a couple of minutes ago.

I'm a trained musician from a young age. When I first started smoking weed when I was 18 and listening to music, it unlocked new neural pathways in my brain to hear every individual sound in every song. This ability I have even while sober now. I love the weed and music combination so much!

You need to be 18 to post here

anon im trying to tell you that, if u smoked and listened to a song you will hear things in it that you would NEVER hear sober, i 100% garantee you this, im not even a pot smoker, but if i do smoke weed and hear music its completely different.

you're ignoring what im trying to say to you though

i heard noises in music that when im sober i can't hear them at all, has this ever been ur experience? I was hearing voices in the music that u can't hear if ur sober
>>

Everyone’s brain is different what weed does for you it might not do for other people
>>

>I would probably sage this post
its something i can't prove but im 100% being honest, music has other layers to it depending on if your high or sober, all i want to know is if other anons have experienced this.

Hearing different voices behind the music, hearing things that arent there when you go back and listen, its hard to explain this because you have to smoke weed and listen to it to achieve it

Not that it is louder but you can hear each instrument, each background track and vocal individually.
On top of what OP is mentioning, there is also music on psychedelics. That's a whole other level. You will not only hear it with your ears but you will experience the music within your head.

Yes friend, it's exactly that. I smoked weed, listened to my favorite songs, and heard each individual instrument(more specifically every single sound) without any effort. I am musically trained so that's probably why I can now hear music sober like that. I had to smoke first in order to have that ability, thank goodness I did! The smallest details in the soundscape I can hear, it's an incredibly fun ability to have!

I am this guy. Sometimes while sober, but always while I'm high off my ass. The music hits so fucking hard I just cry because it's so fucking good.
>>
>>41252994
I can vouch for this. Same experience for me. I never smoke either, so it's kind of sad to think about.
I recall one time it was like ny mind was able to lock in on individal instruments and achieve absorbtion with the song.

It's the euphoria. When I'm having a depressive episode music is irritating, but if I get stoned while depressed then I get pulled in just as deep as when I feel normal. It's the same with every other activity. It's true that cannabis is highly effective for treating mental illness in some people, but because no one can patent a plant (yet) and run ads for it on TV it will never be accepted by the vast majority of people who would benefit from it.

I remember listening to music on 600ug LSD, it felt like I had 15 ears on my body. The original mix got obliterated into frequencies that these different ears would hear. Its a whole different ballpark from weed.

Also one thing related to this thread that has my interest; music in dreams is 10 times more vivid and alive than sober, much like on weed. But maybe that experience is different for everyone.

yeah no shit retard
imagine a substance that affects your senses changes the way you perceive music
im starting to think that every single post on this dumbfuck board is some lame attempt at trolling

I semi-have this. But not for all songs. Especially when theres a strong bass or bass-line, my brain tends to structure the song around that

Being 16 yo, getting high at a bro, walking home and listening to the Beatles blue album while laying on my bed was an angelic experience, I tells ya. I had listened to this album about a hundred times sober, but hearing it stoned felt like hearing it "right" for the first time ever. It is hard to describe but I would say that being stoned made me be really "aware" of the songs depth for the first time (the harmonics, how certain instruments "linked" into each other and completed each other) Really, just marvelous. Only did weed a couple of times again because I always had unbearable headaches when coming down. Still, I will never forget that night.

Buddy this shit happens when you drink alcohol too... Taking Large dose of psychedelics is another story. I was listening to McBaise after 7g of cubensis and it felt like I was in a rollercoaster or the merry-go-round in a circus filled with clowns. All this shit was happening when I laid under my computer desk with headphones on

Get a record player and pink floyds Dark side of the moon on vinyl. Get baked to the gills, put the record on lay down and close your eyes. Enjoy the eyelid visuals and experience.

Grateful dead's music was specifically designed to have a unique experience when listened on LSD that was provided for testing, look into it
>>

I don't smoke often, but when I find myself wanting to it's usually because there's a song or several I've been really itching to hear in a new light next time I get high
>>
>>41255633
Yes this one fucks so hard oh my god yes I remember feeling like an absolute fool for not having listened to it the first 2-3 times I got high
>>
>>41252994
I don't smoke anymore but sometimes when I had just smoked while music was on it would feel overwhelming.
>>
don't smoke but getting high on opiates and listening to music is an incredible experience. can discern the different layers of songs that are normally condensed into one when sober, and there's weird speed distortion where the songs sound faster but you can interpret them more as if they were slower.
>>
>>41252994

I remember my first time too

every single post on here is science fiction sloppa to drown out occultists from escaping. pol was the only other one to have a few enlightenment pills over the past few years and earlier, but I think there's nothing left. everything is in irl, except the truth will be posted on a sub 10 reply pol thread rather than x
