does anyone know why when you smoke weed and listen to music you are in tune with the music? i mean if you listen to a song while sober you don't get to hear the actual song, until you get high the entire song is completely different. Im not much of a stoner, but this phenomena always freaks me out>1 Group of people will never hear the actual song because they are sober>2nd group while high will have a different version of the songim in another group because when i was high i listened to a song and experienced it, i heard things i wouldnt normally hear, when i got sober i listened to the song to try and listen to what i heard when i was high, and i can't hear it.it made me think that theres layers of different realities and we have to be tuned into different realities for it to be heard

When I first started smoking weed when I was 18 and listening to music, it unlocked new neural pathways in my brain to hear every individual sound in every song. This ability I have even while sober now. I love the weed and music combination so much!

I am musically trained so that's probably why I can now hear music sober like that. I had to smoke first in order to have that ability, thank goodness I did! The smallest details in the soundscape I can hear, it's an incredibly fun ability to have!

It's the same with every other activity. It's true that cannabis is highly effective for treating mental illness in some people, but because no one can patent a plant (yet) and run ads for it on TV it will never be accepted by the vast majority of people who would benefit from it.

Being 16 yo, getting high at a bro, walking home and listening to the Beatles blue album while laying on my bed was an angelic experience, I tells ya. I had listened to this album about a hundred times sober, but hearing it stoned felt like hearing it "right" for the first time ever. It is hard to describe but I would say that being stoned made me be really "aware" of the songs depth for the first time (the harmonics, how certain instruments "linked" into each other and completed each other) Really, just marvelous. Only did weed a couple of times again because I always had unbearable headaches when coming down. Still, I will never forget that night.
Buddy this shit happens when you drink alcohol too... Taking Large dose of psychedelics is another story. I was listening to McBaise after 7g of cubensis and it felt like I was in a rollercoaster or the merry-go-round in a circus filled with clowns. All this shit was happening when I laid under my computer desk with headphones on

don't smoke but getting high on opiates and listening to music is an incredible experience. can discern the different layers of songs that are normally condensed into one when sober, and there's weird speed distortion where the songs sound faster but you can interpret them more as if they were slower.

Cannabis widens your perception. It allows you to see small minor details within a given whole, while in the process of experiencing that whole, that you would not otherwise. You notice things in music, and when you play video games, you notice things that you would not normally as well, which allows you to perform better. If you watch films, you will understand why the director / cinematographer did that shot / lighting / pan etc. It's part of the joy of cannabis. Personally for me, it makes me feel normal, because for the last 15 years I've been essentially a hermit living in a trauma state and I basically need it to feel anything, really.
